Thanks for watching everyone!
In this video I talk about how I had to change how I pull the trigger since the recoil caused the trigger guard to tear off some skin on my trigger finger when I used my traditional/competition method. For people with bigger hands, I found that putting your entire trigger finger over the trigger, works best. Also, the DeSantis holster and Kimber/DeSantis speed loader pouches work great! So now my 3 primary carry guns are my Kimber K6S, S&W J-Frame 5 shot 38Spl., and my Sig P365 XL. Let me know if you have any questions!

I am an old revolver guy. In double action on any revolver, we all pull at the first knuckle for leverage. That whole pad of the finger thing is a left-over from our grandfathers' (and great grandfathers) single action revolvers with 3 pound (or less!) trigger pulls! They were designed for it. The double action revolvers weren't!

That makes total sense. People need to quit trying to be a RU-vid professional. Take the tips, try how it feels , Do it your own way. When you’re doing it right it will feel right and you will know it.That goes for anything in life. Happy holidays to all in all a good night

Ironically the old Colt single actions have triggers so close to the grip that you CAN'T use the pad. On an 1873 it's *ok* but on an 1851 you have to shove your finger halfway through the trigger guard otherwise your finger will be very cramped and pulled back against your hand because the trigger guard is very close to the grip, unlike a DA revolver which lets you extend your finger more

How has the sensation flex tuk been? I just ordered one for my 3” but found a nice kydex holster after. Now I’m having second thoughts and might go with the kydex. I like the leather so it doesn’t mar the finish, but the kydex holster has features the leather holster doesn’t

Thanks for watching and your comments! Well, I ended up going with this kydex holster. Check out my review: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XdqxW9yu7rM.html

is this the Flex Tun sold on the Kimber website? If so, can you change the orientation - meaning changing the clip for left or right hand?

snubbies are NOT semi-autos so the finger pad has NEVER been suggested from time before me. I am 71. its always the 1st crook of the finger! yas might find an older sheriff's belt holster, without any kind of screws. (What is it with screws on holsters? one more thing to go bad at rthe wrong moment) if you cannot shoot without a laser beam im gonna say it you are blessed with wierd eyes

Great video, Just picked up my first Kimber K6S (CT) with the CT Laser grips and this is a very well made and quality revolver, its shoots great and is a little snappy with 357 loads which is to be expected, but 38+P works very well and is manageable. I traded one of my S&W 640's for the Kimber with some cash and I am very happy with the trade. I shoot similar to how you explain it and I also have large hands and it's taken me a bit to get used to the shorter CT Laser grips, but after a couple of range sessions, I am adapting to the grip quite well, very happy with the trade I made and find myself carrying the Kimber for my daily EDC.

Thanks for watching and your comments! I absolutely agree with everything you said! Once you get used to the grip and the trigger finger placement with just a little range time you can have a quick draw from appendix carry and be on target in less than 2 seconds. That's a really good idea to carry 38spl.+P and not the 357 mag. I have self-defense 357 mag rounds in mine, so they don't kick like the target ammo does. I love that gun--especially with the trigger spring upgrade I installed that reduces the trigger pull weight.

I can’t find the grips anywhere, does anyone know if they are still made?

That holster gets pretty terrible reviews on Amazon. It was introduced back when the K6S was new and options were limited, there are now several better AIWB Kydex options with more positive retention and better belt clips.

Always looking for a good recommendation on a holster. They are very difficult. That one is working for him but there might be a better one. It’s surely a personalized thing that could be great for one person and horrible for the next. I am surely looking for suggestions for the K6s That I do not have yet. Sigg 365 XL. Trying IWB . Wait has got to be doable. Not completely comfortable with striker fired pistols. Any suggestions on that pistol? Take it easy

The crimson trace claims your existing screw will work. It doesn’t

Thanks for watching! Yes, that's good to know. My CT laser grip came with a screw (and I believe it's longer than the stock screw). It's a Torx T10 I think.

I don’t have a long list of guns that I want to buy. K6s is on top of the list. I want to get one in my hand. You know what I mean. It’s not priority right now. 66 Dash 22.5 inch barrel will hold me over until I have the cash. Those are heirloom quality handguns. I have a Sigg 365 XL. Not completely comfortable with hammer and fire guns. Or inside the waistband holsters in general. a gun like the XL should be able to be carried inside the waistband if it’s going to happen. Reloads.. that Desantis pouch, half I n half out, I will be checking that out. Everybody gets a little wrapped around the axle with capacity. It’s got to be easy and work or you won’t do it. Or at least I won’t do it. With that K frame, it was not on their website when I ordered it but I got a Garrett industries STX, OWB with snaps and straps. Mid ride straight drop. With a regular thick leather belt it worked fine but nylon kore essential belt really shines with weight on it. Way too much belt for a little plastic gun. The laser grip. I’ve got a air weight J frame in my closet. I need to check the grip and make sure I took the battery out. Model 38 I think it is. The humpback with the shrouded hammer . Bought it with a Crimson trace, Smith and Wesson labeled. I used to use that little revolver a lot as just a flashlight basically. Going to the bathroom or whatever it might be at night. Thanks for showing this stuff. I’ve got to get the gun in my hands, make sure it’s as good as I think it is, Buy one. And go from there. My Kframe with The STX kydex, leather lined holster and smooth 320 VZ grips a good combination.Like I said I’ve got to get the gun first but holsters,. Found a guy in Georgia. R. grizzle leather works GS2 (Georgia snap w two snaps on each side. They are cool. You might want to check him out. I think that’s the way I’m going on the next holster. It will be a wait but that’s OK. I’m going to go with some sort of thumb break I believe. The ones I’ve seen on that particular model of his holsters you can put on and takeoff. But if you take it off there is a male part of a snap on the face of your holster. There’s a guy on ESTY that takes old coins and hammers them into a dome (convex?)shape and solders A snap onto it. maybe a Mercury dime or something. I’ll figure it out. Thanking snap that on the holster when I’m not using the strap. I’m always going and doing stuff in the woods and canoes and stuff like that. Bouncing around on a four wheeler one day. That Garrett industries holster had loosened up on retention. The leather had been getting compressed and I needed to adjust it. I might’ve bumped it on something too. Anyhow it was not securely in the holster and I could’ve lost it. And be on the water somewhere and hear a splash. That would make me vomit. Maybe. Depends on white water I guess. Go for a swim or get a magnet if it’s not moving water or Super deep or the ocean for god sake. Anyway the Kydex and G 10 works. North Carolina humid weather. Even soaked in sweat most of my T-shirts don’t get hung up on The holster or the gun. Works out good. Occasionally I’ll carry a speed strip but with those pouches I might give it a shot. It’s good to balance out the weight and if there’s a tiny bulge ones that a tiny bulge on the other side is good to have. Nobody’s looking. They’re on their phones or something. Revolvers are easier to carry in my opinion. I’m still going to try I WB a little longer before giving up on it. I might go 3”. Did you ever think of that? Every tiny bit makes a difference. Any thoughts on that barrel length? Just in case I don’t find one in a storeAnytime soon. Let me know. Thx

Hi Mary, thanks for watching and supporting my channel! That's a good question about barrel length. I just went with the 2" because that's what I usually carry in a revolver. The 3" model does have a larger grip, and would certainly be a great option. I did not check out the 3" in-person but maybe I should have. I have no regrets about the 2" I have--that has become my go-to carry gun and have really gone to it most of the time. If you can, try both barrel lengths and see what the difference is between the grips and how they would feel when you're carrying them. Let me know which model you end-up getting!
