I bought one of these on my 21st birthday. Yeah, way back in 99. I love the gun and carry it from time to time. Heavy as hell, but it has a sweet spot in my heart.

I have one I got 10 years ago. Never caught on because 1911 fans do not like plastic frame. Was a great price..

Not really. Never caught on because when it came out it’s Capacity was 9+1. New Double stack mags have increased the capacity. They sold All metal models. It was the capacity that was the issue

i own one but its made by bul-m5...and use it as my carry gun..unlike any .45 design,this is powerful gun and has a strong recoil..so proper grip technique is a must...a gun that that should not be treated lightly..only draw back is it doesnt do good with hollow point ammo..but its terrific in using standard FMJ .45acp ammos..

It looks brand new. I have 5 of these both .45 & 9mm they are awesome, but they need to break in to be Reliable. That gun doesn't look like it has five hundred pounds through it. It looks so new. I hope it gives you years of good shooting.

Is this the first stainless Kimber not stainless steel 2? Can't seem to find anything on the old stainless steel

I had 2 of them and they didn't feed correctly for anything hollow point.

That is what's referred to as a 2011....1911's use single stack magazines.

incorrect, this firearm was made before the term was ever used. it’s not a double stack magazine as 2011s are but rather a staggered stack. This is in fact a 1911 with a polymer frame and high capacity magazines. This was never marketed or referred to as a 2011 pistol. Thanks for watching.
