It looks like an abanded city. with potential. All those empty housings, give them away to residents for a dollar, like the Bronx did un the 1950-60's. With a contract with the City to renovate given property in a lotted time frame. Materials are part of the contract to fix up your house/tenement. That is how the Bronx did it. My whole block was up for a dollar. Get it together, group yourselves into a homeowner's co-op, legally. Yes, get your back up. Skills are wanted for this project. The Banana Republic, was the name of the group in the Bronx. Check them out.

Yeah the democratic party wasn't right for her, she's a free thinking individual that wants better for her people. My mom lives close by and I went on a ride with her (driving for Uber Eats). My mom has voted democrat all her life and that is why an ad like this is so powerful and meaningful. It's probably the most powerful political ad I've come across. Being there I saw kids on street corners in the day time, pothole heavy roads, lots of abandoned buildings, and people just loathing in poverty. This woman is spot on with the area and it needs change. You can't leave the car running to take someone food because someone might jump in and take it. Politicians should try living among their voter block.

All republicans really offer is diatribes and stereotypes. I am from the city of Baltimore and live in the 7th district. What this ad doesn’t tell you is the 7th district includes Howard County which is the richest county in the USA. The money is going to wealthier parts of the district and depriving parts of the city. The whole city of Baltimore does not look like this. There is truth to this ad but I personally feel like the city is being exploited to give her recognition. I question her motive to run for this district as she is not from here and doesn’t even live here.
Dave Nguyen Howard County is very diverse. Blacks are the largest minority group in Howard County. It of course is mostly white just like majority of the US but there are many other races in the county as well. You would need to research for exact numbers because I don’t know.

@Remember Lord Jesus Pray the Rosary Elijah Cummings passed away before his term was up, Kwiesi Mfume (who held the seat before he resigned to head the NAACP, and Cummings took his place) won the interim election. We need to vote Mfume out, he is another "swamp creature" Democrat.

- The district where she is running has been gerrymandered to insure it always has a black - read Democrat - representative, or so the Dems assumed. That's because they always took the black vote for granted. They never counted on there ever being black Republicans, but their numbers are growing!
That's why the people in each district elect a representative to fix the problems needed to be fixed and most of the districts where there is high crime drugs ect is and has been run by democratic officials and for years getting federal funds to "fix" the issues but has not been done and 80 percent of that money ends up in democratic pockets...where was all this finger pointing with issues like this when Obama, and Clinton were in office....this is a strong woman who knows the bottom line of the issues in Baltimore and even though I dont live there I would vote for her even all the way to the white house. . It misinterprets “Black Lives Matter” as meaning only Black lives matter. But the BLM slogan is a call for justice and a recognition that not all lives are equally at risk when it comes to police brutality.
The Democrat Party has been disastrous for American cities. Baltimore would be lucky to have this amazing lady represent them in Congress. In fact, they NEED her. I really hope the voters there give her a chance.

Mississippi takes in over twice as much as it pays in, and look what the taxpayers from Democratically run states get for their money. Like Pelosi in California; I don’t believe voting in Baltimore has been legit. If it has been legit, there are too many black voters who have walked away. DNC knows this & know California has been sued by Judicial Watch to clean their voter registration.
Really 7th District...what do you have to lose? Everyone is shouting change is needed in the black communities well this is the sign you were waiting for. Best campaign ad I’ve seen from anyone. She shows the evidence as she speaks. No one can deny what she’s stating and showing. And, this is just one Democrat led area. It’s the same all over the country where Democrats have controlled forever. Chicago is the perfect example. Out with the old and in with the new. Experience progress for once and puts Republicans in office where Democrats have proven to have failed over and over.

I miss Baltimore. I used to try to visit every couple years. The inner harbor, Fels Point and surrounding areas. You used to be able to get a reasonably priced room and feel safe staying there. Now, forget about it. And it breaks my heart.
So true. It’s been done in Dem ran cities for decades all over our country. I live in Oregon outside of Portland. Democrats have been letting Portland go to crap for years, and our Democratic governors continually add regulation after regulation every time you turn around. Oregon used to be the best state for outdoor activities and really safe. Hell, it’s so difficult to enjoy the outdoors because of regulations, and, well, you all see what Portland has become.

I watched it and I'm in Washington State. My daughter and son-in-law are in Tampa and it got their attention, along with my her dad, in Mississippi! I liked Kim so much I donated to her campaign!

@Steven Reyes I can't stand folks the tell me I have to think a certain way because I'm black. I don't hate others because of the color of their skin. I've been treated worse by my own kind than by any white person I've known in my life. Blacks need to own up to our own flaws and stop blaming white folks for all our troubles. We must stop worrying about what white folks think about us and save ourselves. Kim has the victor mentality we need.

I don't live, work or play in Baltimore. I'm actually a Philly resident but see the same things in my city as well. Crime and shuttered businesses, homelessness and ramped drugs. What have the Dems done for us all the years as also,( looks like they've done the same in Baltimore as well) Nothing !! I will be sending a donation to to help out with her campaign.
