Wait, I’ve seen multiple people correlate The Kindergarten Protagonist(most people call him Kid/New Kid, I call him Kade, so I’m going to refer to him as Kade) to Frisk because each have the reset 'ability', and they both (in a lot of AU’s, this isn’t confirmed (I believe) so this isn’t canon) have a 'Player' controlling them when they do bad things, so, possibly Kade and Frisk have Multiple Personality Disorder(also known as Dissociative Identity Disorder. I looked it up and this is the closest I could get, basically what I’m trying to get at (*take note that this does not mean what this disorder means, this is what I’m trying to get at, and this disorder is the closest I have*) is that Frisk and Kade have an 'opposite'(or different) personality which the others they know (Sans, Nugget, etc...) refer to as "Player" when really it is an opposite/different personality of themselves (I could go deeper with with Chara-Frisk thing, but let’s not right now) and is why, in the multiple runs, Frisk can either go Pasifist(Frisk), Genocide(Chara), or Neutral (they switch). And why Kade can go from, let’s say... Ms. Applegate’s mission (killing all the children), to Lily’s mission (saving Billy/stopping Jerome’s father(the principal) from doing his experiments) without a second thought, because they are different personalities. Also, they both wear a striped shirt (just noticed that) so, that’s something to? Thought I’d add it. Oh shoot, I kind of got off topic there, anyway, back on subject. So the mother(whom I do not know the name of) could look like Frisk because Frisk would (assumably, seeing as Kade is in Kindergarten) be the older sibling and Kade the younger brother, and POSSIBLY, they could have inherited the "reset" from their father, maybe? This is just my opinion, I don’t mean to offend anyone. (PLEASE I BEG YOU IF I MADE A GRAMMAR MISTAKE TELL ME.) (You can use the name Kade if you wish, thought I’d add that) (Also if you want me to expand on this a bit I might.) Now I’m going to finish watching the video, so I may possibly update this more one I’ve heard Kade’s and the Mother’s songs. (I was kind of going to go all out to why Frisk could have fallen down that hole and all that, and maybe where the father went / is / whatever, but I need to hear their story first before I can continue.) (Also if you find a loophole, or a problem in the theory, I would love to hear it. Also if you have an idea please tell me I want all the information I can get on these things) My now glorious edit: Heh, heh, heh.... I finished watching the video, and ending up watching the “Kid’s Backstory” video... and I’m completely different from the youtuber. BUT NOW THAT I KNOW THAT I CAN DIVE RIGHT INTO THIS FREAKING THING. Alright, back to the main part of this comment. (The past and stuff) I want about Frisk and why they (possibly) fell down the mountain. So, since Frisk is (?) Non-Binary, I’m going to say that they were born female, just for context. When they were around (12-16 or something is when they fell down, correct me if I’m wrong, I can’t double check right now) fourteen(14), she gathered her courage and told her mother she was Non-Binary, now, her mother was generally homophobic(is there a different term for this? Tell me if there is, please) and was very, well, upset you could say, there was a lot of screaming. Her mother was homophobic for a long time and had resented Kade and Frisk’s father once he came out as Bisexual, but stayed together "for the kids". There was a lot of arguing at home and Frisk had a lot of trouble handling it as well as learning how to control her (diagnosed) disorder. So when the freakout just occurred, they kind of just realized it would never end, so they just ran off. Now, their house at the time was near Mt. Ebott, so she got there around sunrise(?) and found the hole, and just jumped. Oh, thought I should add that Frisk was born mute, and learned how to use hand signs. (she taught Kade at a young age) Okay, I kind of want to go deeper in the Chara-Frisk thing, but it will be sort of difficult. (I’m kind of doing this on the spot, why do I do this to myself?) I could just say that she’s a ghost, (like I’ve read somewhere, don’t know where or if it’s canon, my apologies. Also, is Chara non-binary as well? I’m going to refer to her as a she until I get confirmation, because my mind automatically writes the she/her pronouns instead of the they/them pronouns and I have to go correct it) and possessed Frisk, but that wouldn’t match up with the Multiple Personality Disorder (or Dissociative Identity Disorder) stuff, so here’s what I’m thinking, The father had/has the 'reset' power and Frisk and Kade 'inherited' it, and while Kade has the power to reset the room or day, Frisk has the power to reset up until a certain point in their life. This, in Undertale, is when they fall into the Underground.(I assume, I haven’t played the game, correct me please if I’m wrong). Now, I’m going to say that Frisk also has Schizophrenia (?, I’m not very versed in disorders, so I may sound very stupid right now, so just bear with me) Now, the Chara part. I’m still going to say she is a 'ghost'. But here, let me explain. She fell into the underground and got along well with the monsters, and she did have the most determination, meaning she had the power to reset. Once she found out about this power, she changed, a bit. She first tried it out when she fell and it appeared on her, it sent her back a day. Once she tried this multiple times and realized what it was, she showed Asriel. First it was normal, they tried out things like to see if anyone remembered the resets, if anyone was affected or hurt after the resets, etc. After all these tests, they realized they could do basically anything. They could break free from the underground, trying again and again until they got it right. They could win every battle, resetting should they be given a fatal wound. They could do *anything* Then, Asriel died. (I don’t remember how, but I know it happened) And Chara couldn’t reset to save him. No matter what, every time, it never worked. He never believed her. He didn’t remember the resets she was doing. Then she snapped, and killed herself once she realized that Asriel was gone(I’m definitely going to need to edit this) Then she woke up. And next to her was a child. Soon, she realized that she now ‘haunted' the reset button, and she ended up using to hurt people, drive them mad. When it was inherited to Frisk, she went after them, the same way she always did. But then Kade got it to. She didn’t know who to follow, to torture more, but settled for Frisk once they fell to the Underground, since she had a thirst(or lust) for revenge, revenge on the ones whom never actually believed her. Since Frisk was born with Schizophrenia, she would have hallucinations and such, Chara also found this a good opportunity to choose her, because she could appear to them, and have her think that it was a hallucination. Soon, Frisk became aware of the resets, since Chara was blocking her memories it took multiple Genocide runs as well as Pacifist runs, because she had a neutral run and realized what was happening. I think that’s all I have to add right now. I might add more later if I think of something important or someone is curious. Also, none of this is officially canon (accept for some names, those are clearly stated.) so please don’t start yelling at me If you have any information on some of the disorders I’ve listed that may contradict this, please let me know! (Also this isn’t meant to offend anyone in anyway I’m really sorry if it does) Edit 2(Sat Aug 8 2020): now that I think about it, it could also very easily be flipped, that the mother was the one whom passed on the 'reset' power and that the father was the homophobic one, it can go both ways, but I just referred it to the mother because of the video I’m commenting on, heh.
