You are bloody legends, all 3 of you! None of you should feel bad for helping each other. Don't be afraid to reach out if you get stuck, kiwis are always keen to help people in need. Glen and Mado, you've got a captive audience here in NZ. Us kiwis have a fascination with knowing what people think of us. I think it's because we are such a small remote country we get excited when we hear our country mentioned overseas, especially in the media or movies etc. 😂

Linden is a nice suburb that I spent the first 10 years of my life at until we spited up to the Kapiti Coast, although the place has changed a lot in the past 60 years since I lived there in the 1950's.

You guys really have learned with travel you just have to go with the flow and sometimes seamless and sometimes disruption and delays. Such a wonderful random act of kindness and glad this got you both another adventure in Tawa. Glen I have to compliment you on the drone footage such as Castlepoint and Castle Rock and here above Tawa and Titahi Bay beach. This really adds another perspective to have an aerial view!

I'm happy you got to see Titahi Bay. It was the best beach when growing up in Porirua. It would be full of cars and people in the summer. Looks a bit more stony since I was last there, I wonder if the sand is slowly being removed by the waves or if the tide was just in. Still a beautiful spot, and there are other cool little beaches around the coast you can walk to if you're feeling adventurous.

Yeah it's partly geography. NZ is a bloody long way from anywhere so in many respects we have to rely on each other. So when someone is in trouble our prepogrammed societal mores kick in. Also we are a nation of immigrants and world travellers. The kiwi diaspora is huge. Many nzers are familiar with the challenges of exploring other countries

Make shore when you get to the south island you go have a look at Whites bay it's amazing you will love it and camping is cheap so spend a night and explore and take in the amazing sunset

those ferries are a disaster bro been trouble for years one lost its propeller at sea one engine broke down started racing to shore had to drop anchor to stop it built in spain called el lemons the saying goes

Don't come to the South Island if you are not planning to spend money, and are abusing your tourist visa's for cash in hand work. I hope the toyota wish that you have been freedom camping in at least has self contained waste-toilet facilities.

Wouldn’t say rich we had to a lot of labour work on the side, we spend very little actually 😂 we live in the car most of the time. We’re living the bare minimum haha

Not nice at all and a completely uncalled for comment. It must be so sad to be so suspicious and negative. You know nothing of their backgrounds. I travelled extensively for years when much younger, working hard in different places to afford the next step of the journey and was never rich (still not) but the places I went to and the people I met enriched my life.
