Kindred interactions lines in both ways in League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra. What others think of Death spirits? #kindred #leagueoflegends #whatchampionthink
I actually really like Warwick's "Which one of you is the wolf" because it feels like a call out to Lamb's deception. Despite presenting herself as the "nicer" version of Death, she is still a hunter all the same, something Warwick can recognize.
@@GameoftheYear-fx4mq Fidlesticks lines make sense now...OOH They don't go after Amumu because he is cursed to be always lonely ,would Kindred be afraid of his curse then? Like what if they takes Amumu's life the curse might affect them next.
@@purple66666 sort of, more like kindred just wants nothing to do with people who are lonely because they hate that memory about themselves. Amumu wouldn't be able to die anyways since he's a mummy already 😂
@@GameoftheYear-fx4mqI think it’s amumus curse to always be alone that’s keeping him “alive”, it’s so strong that even kindred/death won’t keep him any company, and so he lives on
Kind of funny because he's always talking about how he wants to die, but when tbe time comes he apparently struggles to stay alive, or he would have seen Lamb...
@@indigofenix00 It's because he COULD go to death whenever he feels like, but feels that suffering himself to prevent others from having to live through the hell of undeath is the preferable option. And he expects that to last almost forever, or at least so long that he forgets why he started, from one of his lines being, "Remember me, for one day I will not."
"Strange I sense a 3rd presence. Something far older." I'm assuming this means that the Gray Man's presence is still there? Rather than it being completely split in 2? Or?
I wondered this as well, whether if you kill wolf and lamb the grey man still sees you. It's either that or the notion that perhaps the grey man was just a harbinger for death, not death itself.
@@AhamkaraMommy the main theory most people who're into the lore have is that it's the Mask-mother, the entity above the Kindred in the hierarchy of death, and also the one who created the Kindred
@@valentine956 really? main theory I've heard is that its referring to Vulture. The Third mask in Finishing Soates, Vulture represents 2nd death, aka being forgotten, Gods and Spirits can't die until they are forgotten, This makes sense that she would detect Vulture. Because the Demon she's bound to is a spirit, who's only way to die would be to be forgotten, aka claimed by Vulture
@@MasonStoijck Stuck in eternal happiness by a Demon Spirit. Not by choice. Basically the short of it. All she can express and I think feels, is Joy. A Joyous Demon. Doesn’t sound the worst, but I assure you, it’s not as good as it sounds. Too much of anything is a bad thing. To only feel joy is to not live a full life. So is Nilah a Demon, bo. She is ‘more or less” to MY UNDERSTANDING, stuck in an eternal damnation of Joy. But not controlled by the Demon themselves. So she, as per the Demon in? her, and Vulture existing would be able to ‘sense’ a third older and more powerful Mask. Since, well, the Vulture is the only thing that can ‘insure’ death. In the sense of being Forgotten. (And before anybody brings it up, Skins all have their own Universes. They are not the same.) High Noon has crazed cyborgs and semi-robo enhanced humans. Jhin being a crazed cyborg, Lucian and Senna, and Ashe, being the latter. Urgot, yet again a batshit crazed cyborg.
So fiddlesticks uses voices and lines that they know the other champion fear so what the line is probably describing is that Lamb and wolf are afraid of being the grey man again they are afraid of being alone again . That being said the lamb tell me a story line that fiddlesticks says may mean that lamb has some sort of underlying fear of wolf
I'm doubtful for the latter part, fiddlesticks speak two kinds of dialogs, those which inflict fear (when encounter) and the stolen quote of the victim (when victim is killed).
@@Jason-fw5gg kindred does not steal quotes from everyone though I’ve been maining him since pre rework he only says fears and steals quotes from a specific group of champs
Fiddlesticks has a tendency of calling demons or certain other beings by their name. He does this with Evelyn, Kench, nocturne and interestingly enough when encountering Swain he will actually call out the name of the demon possesses his arm. I think kindred is the same he's calling them what they used to be basically referring to them by their actual name
@@OPTIMUSVEST not really, many of fiddle's quote are stolen from the victim, a part of its quote is literally the last words of a bunch of people massacred by it in the field
Interesting how all champs that have a depressing backstory when it comes to death (Yorick,Irelia,...) are very humble towards kindred and the ones that mock kindred are usuallly characters that i would describe with the words "havent been hit hard enough by life" (Ezreal, Ahri...)
@@jetstreamsam8954 I think she has the succubi issue. Where she suffers from her own existence as a demon, where her sexual-playful vibe is more part of her biology than her personality It's like post nut clarity, you feel bad after the job is done but every so often you return to your nature.
Honestly, if Viego was a lot more mad at death, the line would've been perfect. Imagine him screaming the ''Answer for your crimes, Death. ANSWER ME!'' in his full anguish, pain and despair. Good god, how powerful would that be.
I'm just getting into the arcane series thing and I really hope at some point we will see kindred. Cause the lamb and the wolf are my favourite characters. ^^
@@-Neji_gg kidreds and wolf's form when they were one entity, when saying grey man, it reminds them of their lonely life alone back then, so it scares kindred and wolf
I like how the shadow isles characters tend to agree on Kindred's presence and continues to work with her and the wolf. Even the wolf isn't as hostile to them because they are already dead. Maybe except Viego and Karthus. Viego is dead sure, but he has some uncle issues.
They are neither death or alive. They are beyond their power. Mordekaiser is spirit bound to armor. Aatrox in a sense is bound to his sword by celestial power. So similar to morde, those two are bound by another realm. When kindred can only interfere with beings between spirit realm and runeterra "main plan"
@@ranjithaanil1279well lamb, wolf their true form is grim reaper whom split himself in half He was so lonely he split his soul into 2 but his personality didnt split like new 2 personality are born to the souls (like garnet from steven) both are different but when they are together they are the grim reaper 3rd personality/precense
2 things I just realized: Even the embodiment of death isn't safe from fiddlesticks ( which I guess is because fiddlesticks embodies the concept of fear including fear of death?). More importantly, what fiddlesticks says to them to make them afraid, "grey man" and "tell me a story". Grey man refers to the embodiment of death before it split itself into lamb and wolf I believe, so why is that the fear of lamb/wolf to return to the grey man? Are they afraid of being alone again since the reason why the grey man split himself into kindred was to have a friend? But the line "tell me a story" is wolf's line. What makes kindred afraid? Is lamb afraid of wolf? the second thing: amumu is so cursed to be alone, death actively avoids touching him
The prerequisite for being alive is having a desire to not die--if a creature does not have a motivation to keep living, then it's not alive, it's just moving. Therefore, the fear of Death must come before dying. For as long as things have been alive, they have been afraid. From the first cells to the tallest beasts, fear has long since precluded death. Ergo, Fiddlesticks transcends even Kindred.
I don't know why exactly but when Fiddle says "Gray Man" it feels like the singular time that it's actually it speaking rather than simply echoing what was said. I know Lamb does vocalize "Gray Man" in the story voiceline so it can still pass as echoing but just the way it is said and the lore of both characters makes it feel like the one time Fiddlestick is, on its own, saying something. Might be interpreting too much into it but I really love the delivery of that one.
Too much deeper lore for that moment i think. Also Kindred have nothing to do with Sentinels, their weapons and Ruination. It's like beyond reach of their powers.
Honestly if u put her as her runeterra card, u will indirectly nerf her, shadow isles have everything she need to be a threat. But ofc in a lore point of view it would be more suitable
@@kolossis8283 ofc he is oldest demon but still he is calling him by his real name (grey man.pale man, death)so its some kind of recognition.i said kinda afraid :P
@@sasabogdanovic705 He calls the demon champions by their names Like Tahm Kench, Evelyn, Nocturne, Raum (Swains demon) So if he only calls Kindred by "Grey man" That means Fiddlesticks was alive Before Kindred split themself into 2 beings.
Every time i see something about kindred, i remember about Coyote Starrk and Lilynette Gingerbuck (1 Espada), and i think "who is the Bleach fan at Riot?".
Honestly when it comes to fiddlesticks' interactions, I feel like the "Grey man" quote is him being more scared of kindred than trying to scare kindred. After all, if anything is going to scare fiddlesticks, its kindred.
Fiddle is fear itself. What is more interesting is that Fiddlesticks has no taunts towards demons. When Fiddle meets Swain, it says "Raum" which is the name of Swains demon. With Fiddlesticks calling the kindred "Gray Man" it may suggest that the spirit of death isent that far from a demon.
@@runeercool1 it's actually part of many mythos regarding common demonology that knowing a demon's name grants you power over it or protection against it to some degree - knowing what a demon embodies allows exorcists across various religions to construct a personalized 'banishment' of sorts against it so perhaps that translates to the league lore in that the demons of runeterra are afraid of their own name
I've heard from multiple people that Kayn will say something to an enemy Kindred when he kills their hunts in the jungle, but no one seems to have posted it. I was hoping for it here but, oh well. Back to searching I suppose.
She is like LoL reminiscent to Lady Death from Marvel, like how Aurelion Sol is seem to be inspired by The Celestials (Arishem The Judge, Tiamut, Ego, Knowhere.....). As a both Marvel fan and LoL player, this similarity (but does not feel exactly the same) is very fascinating For those who don't understand, both Lady Death and Kindred is a literal death while The Celestials and Aurelion Sol is the entity who is responsible to.. you know? help shaping the universe by creating a countless star and without them, darkness
The Greyman IS the Lamb and Wolf combined. I think Nilah's talking to the Vulture, the death god that eats death gods when they all die or are forgotten
So thanks to lor and now knowing that kindred is just a more common look for dead but still each place has there more proper death. Also would that mean that even in it all they both fear the reaper of the grim reaper.
If Nilah is saying that Kindred is "far older"... Then doesn't his mean Kindred is older than the demon Nilah is binded with? Which really goes to show how old Fiddlesticks is since it called Kindred "Grey man".
