I am always thinking that the "unborn child" part in the bridge is to be interpreted metaphorically. So it could also means unfulfilled dreams, hopes and aspirations But then again, Friderika is a gospel singer. So...

I wonder if it's partly because it feels so honest somehow - she means what she's singing (how ever miserable it is!) That raises an excellent song to being the best euro-song ever, in my humble. The only other such "honest" performance I can remember off-hand is that OG3NE group - I found their performance quite compelling but unfortunately the song was rubbish :-(

Because it's a masterpiece! Unforgetable. Some songs are to rember forever, whilst other are forgotten after 5 minutes.

Having watched Eurovision 2021 last night, I sought this out to listen again for the same reason. Fantastic song and a beautiful performance, stuck in my mind for all those years.

Slovakia had their first entry in 1994 , it was my favourite of the night 😊... But yeah I love Hungary , Poland and Russia too very much . I think our UK entry was right up there too .
