people are on here spouting that perpetual motion is impossible due to the laws of thermodynamics, but they're not talking about how cool that marble pump is
I lost brain cells watching this video. Two of them weren’t even perpetual motion machines and the one that was cannot work because it doesn’t make sense.
the last machine would go on for ever since he is making then do it buy the one where he doesnt wont go on forever? is this because of thermodynamics and how energy is lost through other ways like kenetic energy and heat energy/thermal energy or am i wrong?
Dude you're right, my fever dreams are also like this. The distant music is like quiet shouting, and the lack of audio sort of amplifies that effect. And the pacing of the video is like you are examining everything with a blank stare.
Im here to state my completely original comment about how perpetual motion doesn't work! It's not like every single other person in the comment section is saying the same exact thing right?
If you're designing these contraptions that you make, you're a genious. If you're just building them from somebody else's plans, well, you're a darn good builder.
Guys, whenever someone uploads a video about perpetual motion they know it’s impossible and has the assumption everyone knows that. Btw, this is a Japanese youtube channel and the title might of gotten mistranslated
There are always people that try to create actual perpetual motion machines and create "scientific" papers to demonstrate it. Do not underestimate the stupidity of the human race
Everyone here complaining about perpetual motion, but forgetting that the marble pump was awesome. Also, I'm fair certain the guy is not claiming to have made a perpetual motion machine. Pretty sure that's just the name of the sculpture, that's it.
He has an older video where he claims that he has the theories necessary for perpetual motion energy generators, and that oil companies are in on a conspiracy to block those patents / hide information about them. Maybe he's knocked that off by now. Pseudo-perpetual motion machines are really cool, but they're not much more than art pieces.
Let’s take a moment to admire the beauty of that perpetual transmission piece of art - and, yes, we get it - It won’t be perpetual. From time to time it gives you the pleasure of putting it in motion.
So what stops it when it's in space? Because there's gotta be something that stops it while it's space Actually I'm pretty sure you could theoretically attain perpetual motion as long as you don't try to take energy from it
Fact: Using the word “machine” with perpetual motion or energy, will give it a beginning and an end, making it finite. With this new and better understanding of perpetual devices, its meaning will need updating in defining it as finite. This way, these devices or machines will not violate the laws of thermodynamics, laws of nature, laws of physics, makes them patentable. ~Guadalupe Guerra
Hi, dear creator! :) I really fell for the second machine in your video and would love to replicate it one day when I find the materials/time. Is there any tutorial for making it and if not, would you make one? Thanks a lot for the inspiration!
Perpetual motion machines have never been fully achieved. However the theory that they could exist is fun and perplexing. I simply fail to see how any of these come close to being considered perpetual motion machines as none of them have any way of returning kinetic energy to themselves. The only one that wasnt hand powered was a wheel with pegs and grooves that spun three arms.
We should have a contest of kinetic arts and/or pseudo perpetual machines and the one who runs the longest without the input of one more energy wins a prize of $10,000
I am almost 100% convinced that there is a higher probability that you will find/invent perpetual motion machine on quantum scales, especially in far future when technology and our knowledge evolve... But there is little hope that you will accomplish anything by using woods, pendulums, balls, and so on. So I think that perpetual motion is work for some unknown physics.. Maybe currently beyond our comprehension.
