I did Kickstart last fall and I am starting Animation Bootcamp next week so I thought it would be good idea to watch SoM tutorials to warm up. I really appreciate how you explain everything without talking down to the viewer. This is so freaking exciting and useful. Thank you!
What a neat trick to do complex camera moves -my life will never be the same. It is also very refreshing to see someone tackle a bigger project, addressing all the challenges that come with it. Thank you, sincerely!
Your tutorials are amazing. I can watch other tutorials that make these crazy complicated visuals but it just feels like I’m following a recipe without knowing the “why” behind everything. After I watch your tutorials I always come out with a game changing skill that I’ve been struggling with I.e. pre-composing or graph editing. Thanks for your awesome work and outstanding teaching!
I just found this video because I wanted to improve my Kinetic skills and I'm so thankful! You rly are a good teacher, thank you! might consume all your videos after this haha
I think this tutorial just shaved at least two months off my learning curve. Seeing the decision making and the whys and hows is so valuable. It’s like a cheat for all the messy trial and error I’d be struggling along with. THANK YOU!
WARNING!!! The title of the video is misleading!! I came here to learn kinetic typography. Instead I learned a pack of really useful information while following the construction of an actual project, from tiny "secret" tips to big boss "monsters" helping me work easier better and more effective. Best part - is speaking your creative ideas aloud. Thank you for great tutorials. The best around!
You guys are a true mentor who's a big heart and helping mind. Your teaching style is really awesome. So many new things I am learning through the tutorials. I can't express how much I am grateful to you. Even I have made up my mind learning all the tutorials I may get a premium course from you. Then I will ask which course will suit me. There are 160 tutorials except for podcasts & interviews. So by adopting those tutorials, I may step to an intermediate level, then which course you suggest I go for. Not now but next year (In sha Allah). Thanks, Thanks, Thanks,.................. a lot.
It's a truly awesome tutorial. I don't see a lot of likes on other parts of it. Probably, mostly people search short & sweet tuts, but they will never learn as much as you can learn from this long video with all process explanation. So great thanks from my side that you show up this tut pay free!
Except for your description of how a foot falls for walking... that was the exact opposite of what actually happens in a normal gait cycle. Should be heal first, then ball, then toes. I realise this is practically irrelevant but I'm still here.
This is awesome- basic question though- when you set the purple background you had a highlighted background on top, how did you make this? Was is a a preset you can add or did you make it in illustrator? Thanks!
Great tutorial as always. Thank you Joey. I've notest that as you add the second null (move02), it changes something in the first one. that's why the sudden hitch occurred. I was wondering how to solve it in a way, that you don't have to go back and correct the hitch again. because it the best way to control the camera and combine movement from one to the other.
so.... I don't really know what I just did, but when I created the second move again (about 30 times :)), the hitch didn't occurred. But I'll still be happy to get the 'How to do it right and override the hitch' explanation
@@schoolofmotion I haven't, it sounds exciting. Thank you for the tutorials, they are very helpful and atm I'm editing my first kinetic typography video.
01:07:00 When I duplicate the null and parent the first null to the second one... it screws up my motion path 😭 even after I fix the Y-axis like in your video
Lol, I wouldn't lie, but that audio track makes me laugh every single time he is alarmed by he's a rock biter, lol. I enjoyed this tutorial, thanks buddy.
and Like a noob I just want to know how he created the highlighted purple background on top of the regular purple background :( 16:15 Any help is appreciated
