The story of King Arth-yr Ddantgwyn comes to an end in the 520AD, in the battle of Camlann. In the heat of battle, Arth-yr, with the legendary Excalibur, lands a fatal blow to his son Mordred, before receiving a deadly wound himself. Before succumbing to his wounds, he tasks his loyal knight Sir Bedivere with returning Excalibur, the source of Arth-yr's powers, to the Lady in the Lake. Nineteen years later, Owain Ddantgwyn, unaware of his heritage, flees the town guards after assisting his friend Harry in the robbery of a large sum of gold from Lord Antonius, lord of his home town Viroconium.

Wow..ive been searching for this movie all my life. The bestest version of king arthur movie. Hope this movie will be nominated for 2020 best movie of the century. Cant wait to watch on full screen cinema after quarantine.. This is also the only kind movie u can enjoy while fishing alone on a boat in the dark or when u r waiting for the wife getting dressed to the cinema.

Excalibur 1981 starring Nigel Terry as King Arthur and Helen Mirren as Morgana Le Fey, Nicolas Clay as Lancelot, Liam Neeson as Gawain , Patrick Stewart is in it too and Gabriel Byrne, infact there's a great cast all round well worth a watch by far my favourite version of it , it's atmospheric too, if you like that kind of thing and has a great soundtrack too, if you do watch or anyone else does I hope you enjoy 😁

A different take on the Arthur-themed films; almost certainly from one of the Welsh versions. It's not a particularly good film, but if you are an Arthur junkie (as I am) you will enjoy it.

The name England derives from the invasion/settlement of the Angles who made their presence strongly known by their incursions into Eastern Britain along with Saxons and Jutes, around the 5th/6th century and pushed the BRITISH west, north and south to Brittany. Not sure how you connect this to socialism?

the legend, the theme is wonderful though, one of the reasons I do not like western movies is the background sound is too loud while the script the voice the actors produce is quite little, hard to catch up their sayings

Ddantgwyn meaning white-tooth, supposedly one of the ancestors of the Pen-Dragon linage and Pen-Dragon meaning Head Dragon and Arthur ( Arth-tr ) being Terrible Head Dragon, the Pen-Dragons of old Welsh Mythology being the true rulers of Wales and Brittania before and after Roman rule, it seems movie makers like to take a lot of liberty with history and mythology, especially in second rate movies
