Incredible review, Ramtin! I've said it countless times before, but I'm genuinely baffled as to why your channel doesn't receive more views and subscribers. Your ability to provide informative and meticulously detailed descriptions of fragrances is unmatched!
I'm very much appreciating this fragrance, it comes off a very niche version of a blue fragrance & love the black currant in it, this is addicting. It's done as a collaboration between two perfumers, one of which is the creator of one of my favorites "Layton Exclusif" this is a work of art, and deserves to be in the Opus Collection.
Just watched this for the second or third time and then 'pulled the trigger' ! I don't consider myself a trend chaser BUT this one is from my favorite House and boasts some of my favorite scent profiles. I knew that I would buy it as soon as I heard about it. I was never an "if" BUT rather a "when". This review helped determine the issue of "when". So, thank you!
Certainly, while it may indeed command a premium price, it's important to recognize that this fragrance boasts a selection of exceptionally high-quality ingredients. Authentic Oud, by its very nature, is renowned for its exclusivity and the associated cost. As a pertinent example, consider Tom Ford's Oud Wood, a 100 ml bottle of which commands a substantial price tag. Regrettably, it has undergone reformulations that have diluted its essence, notably lacking genuine Oud. In this realm of fragrance, individual preferences naturally play a pivotal role.
Hey man, you look Persian! Thanks for the through review of King Blue, I haven't tried it yet. By the way, do you linke insence, smoky fragrance as well? what's your favorite? Create a list for that as well, if you can
i agree. I have no idea what people who have smelled this are talking about saying this is terrible, etc. They must be used to wearing nautica voyage or CK one like the guy above. This is a fantastic fragance
Hola! Gracias!!! 😊😊
I tried to like this scent. I’m confused about what Amouage was trying to do. It’s starts off smelling animalic Oud that swallows anything citrus in the opening with a sour dry down. Nothing blue about it. Maybe it’s my skin but it doesn’t work. It doesn’t seem to last long either. A complete dud for me. Was my worst blind buy of the year.
I regret to hear about your experience. It's possible that Assam Oud may not match the type of Oud you're accustomed to, as it aims to introduce a genuine Assam Oud experience to a wider audience. One must have a profound appreciation for Oud to truly relish it. Notably, fragrances like Oud for Greatness or Oud Wood are not authentic Oud, unlike this offering. When your nose is unaccustomed to this potent scent, no amount of citrus notes can transform it into something else. It exhibits remarkable longevity, potentially leading to nose blindness after around 30 minutes, although others can still perceive it in your vicinity. Nose blindness is a natural, temporary adjustment where one temporarily loses the ability to discern common scents. This should not be confused with anosmia, a condition that can result in a partial or complete loss of the sense of smell.
This is a $120 - $150 fragrance scent. It’s a 7 out of 10. I own over 2700 bottles of fragrances including everything from a bottle of CK one shock to Clive Christian and Roja. This fragrance is way overpriced.
