One of the most respectful audiences I've seen in a minute. Says a lot about the musicians when the crowd isn't just screaming every time something is said
I saw The Melvins open for Primus. They were good. But I gotta say, I like Faith No More. Mr. Bungle is great too of course but what's wrong with FNM? They're a good band.
reminds me of one of my all time favorite shows plainfield opens for Grotius opens for Melvin’s opens for mr.b @ the kennel club, and this is a story I just told last night they boos Melvin’s and mr b came out and as my story goes mr b played feedback until the crowd left!
I use to sound just a lot like Buzz in almost every story I told. Always rooting myself as the underdog who never wanted any attention yet always complained about those who did get attention IN THE NAME OF PUNK ROCK! Then I got over myself
@@luthierjustin1 I don't know if he's talking about the acoustic show that's on this video, if he is, this was definitely recorded on a smartphone. If he's talking about the one where the Melvins were getting booed going onstage, I highly doubt that was ever recorded.
It's weird how Buzz hates any and all "popular" bands. Does he listen to the music of bands he thinks are "too famous and popular" or does he blindly hate them just because they are "too famous and popular" without even hearing them?
He doesn't hate popular bands. He hates bands that emerged solely for the poster boy attitude, literally what he said in this video. And even Mike knows this is exactly what he was on the music video Epic. I don't know if you've seen the What's In My Bag? video of the Melvins but it might open your eyes a bit.
Really like the music, bit the 'in' jokes just make me feel like I did at school, you have to have to like this band, have to like that band, it's quite disappointing when I thought these guys were all about just making music.
Melvins are are a good band but I think Faith No More are infinitely better and more interesting. Buzz is a bitter dude. A fifty something year old man talking about the"MTV Baby Rockers" from the early nineties who rejected him. It's over, Johnny. Though the Patton story was funny.
The fuck? Melvins where goddamn pioneers of so much of what was actually good about the ninteys. The nineties didn't "reject him", it was the goddamn melvins decade.
B Canfield I can imagine someone being bitter when they've seen all these other acts that they inspired get huge while they're still a bunch of unknowns. Outside of Honey Bucket, I don't think they ever saw anything close to mainstream success. Buzzo's abrasive personality is part of what makes him funny.
I usually respect people's opinion but you obviously haven't seen the following the Melvins have gotten over the years and I think their music fkn rocks. People who usually don't are more into that mainstream pop bs
I love the melvins and great fucking music.. Seen then live in a barn along time ago.. Yes i said barn... Anyway buzz is bitter but still one of the greatest bands, just think buzz attitude sonetimes chases away fans.. The music draws you in, buzz chases them away with these rants...
