THE INTERVIEW : Ahead of their first state visit in France in 34 years, King Carl VXI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden spoke to FRANCE 24's Markus Karlsson at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. They told him they hope their visit will "boost relations" between Sweden and France.

I admire Queen Silvia greatly and from everything that she has done in both her private life and public life for the benefit of others, she should be up for sainthood.She is a well spoken , compassionate lady, elegant queen and an amazing ambassador.

Am I wrong to say that reporter was more nervous and probably could handled the interview better? He could have diffused some of the tension that was apparent when the King spoke. Queen Silvia is so dignified and at ease

The queen seems to be much more at ease with interviews than the king, that might have to be with the fact that she finds it easier to speak in public, due not only to the many languages she manages but also to the fact that he might have always been a little bit shy since his childhood because of his alleged dyslexia.

I love the way King Karl Gustave is answering the questions. It is straight forward and honest. It is a big complex when it comes to the Royals position in the world and to defend the Monarchy. IT HAS BEEN A MESSY TIME FOR ALL AND EVERY ONE in the world - NO USE REALY TO POINT FINGER JUST TRY THE BEST FOR TO SORTERING OUT THINGS and can be ONLY BY COMMUNICATE DISCUSS for to understand all points situation and DO THE BEST OF IT - WAS HIS MESSEGE BASICALY and it is TRUE !

Not going to lie, but I feel the reporter's questions were a little intrusive, slightly presumptuous, and even at times condescending. The Swedish royals were extremely gracious. I admire them 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪

Vad är det för fel på Sonja? Jag vet att många norrmän inte är så överdrivet förtjusta i henne men hon verkar klok och rolig men jag kan inte säga att jag direkt känner till henne. Men hennes situation i Norge var väl också från början svårare än för Silvia. Hon ger ett lite "vassare" intryck än vår drottning....;-)

My new theory is that Monte, and Carl of Monte, are 2nd cousin from the generation prior to Columbus legacy. His explains why they're still alive. Also, the curve ball is that Monte is in America as a non-designation. There is no team to make him privy of expectations.
