I hope & pray the King is felling much better. He looks good but I know that can be a bit deceiving. He must get plenty of rest. I keep watch to hear news of him but in the U.S. I hear very little. May God Bless You, Your Majesty. 🇺🇸❤🌈🙏 🇸🇪

It’s well known in Scandinavia that King Carl Gustav was not happy with this change in the law. However, according to magazine reports Prince Carl Philip is allegedly only too happy that his big sister is the heir to the throne. Denmark changed the law as well from male-preference primogeniture to absolute primogeniture, but this change of the law as no bearing on the current situation within the Danish Royal family as the next two heirs in line for the throne are male. However, if Prince Christian was to die before his father, Crown Prince Frederik, or leave no legitimate heirs himself, the crown would go to his sister, Princess Isabella, the second born child, not to their younger brother prince Vincent.

Britain changed this law took anything happens to her father and older brother then SHE takes throne not her younger brother Prince Louis.

I t’s a huge responsibility that I certainly wouldn’t want so I can only imagine how the Prince must feel. He has a beautiful wife, who he apparently adores, 3 beautiful young sons as well as his work, his charities and his many hobbies & interest. I think he got a great deal and will have a full life. Yes, I tend to believe he did get the better deal. The Crown Princess Victoria has a unique and supportive partner, just as her Father has, in Crown Prince Daniel, who has risen to the occasion. They have a great marriage, a wonderful life and a daughter & son- the perfect family. They are a great fit and are doing a wonder job. I know the King is disappointed as a man has special dreams for his only son, and this goes way above those dreams. He will remain sad but Victoria & Daniel have a secure hand on things. I just adore all of them. I don’t know as a as I’d love to but most everything isn’t in English so I can only try and guess. The music is beautiful & we can learn a lot from music. Victoria of Sweden was prepared for her future office as queen all her life and should she relinquish it in favor of her brother? Hypothetical mind games? He didn't say he wants to change the laws now, but he was against the changes when they happened back in 1980 and would havd prefered they applied to the next generaton not retroactively.

5:11 the picture is taken in the palace when a new government assumes, they visit the king and crown princess, do the picture, and that's the closest the royals will get to the power. Besides the luxury life they get, hosting the Nobel Prize ceremonies every year, it's not much more than that, so I really think there's no point on arguing who would be next king or queen

Before the order of succession to the Swedish thrown was changed only males who were born to male members of the royal family could inherit the thrown, he also had to be born within a legal marrige and be a protestant.

We always knew King Carl Gustav didn't want to change the laws of succession. I like Carl Philip but I really believe Victoria will make an excellent Queen. And I think in his heart the King does too. He has just never evolved from the man's world.

Hi Bonnie! I hope all is well with you. 🙂 To answer your question: It is my understanding that a majority of Omani men wear the traditional Khanjar (Omani Dagger) as part of their everyday dress. Overall, the history of the Sultanate of Oman is actually quite fascinating. If you're interested the late Anthony Bourdain filmed an episode some years ago about Oman that I highly recommend. It seems to me the King is right. It looks like an ex post facto law. Since 1787 ex post facto laws are expressly forbidden by the United States Constitution in Article 1, Section 9, Clause 3 (with respect to federal laws) and Article 1, Section 10 (with respect to state laws).

We all know His Majesty's thoughts on the line of succession. I mean, just put yourselves in his shoes. His male heir was already born, now a law will pass it to his eldest child. That creates a situation for him in his household. Having to take something from one kid and giving it to another one. Thank God it was at a very early stage and both Prince Karl Philip and Princess Victoria grew up developing a seemly awesome relationship.. Should it had been discussed and approved by Victoria's birth, and before K-P's, there would be no issues on the matter

This change should NOT have been Retrospective and Prince Carl Phillipe should be the next king. This change happened in Britain too, , but as William and George are both males, the change in the British Law will only come in to effect if Prince George's first child is a girl. Also Princess Anne did not jump over her brothers in the line of succession after Prince Harry's children.Pity ! . She is the most Royal of the Queen's children and would have made a much stronger Molnarch than King Charles.
