Hi Mark, What a great Royal shave using the King Charles III brush. Nice British theme. Some Shaving Creams and Aftershave's that would fit the theme of the King Charles III brush would be D.R. Harris & Co and Truefitt & Hill Take care Mark.

Hi Mark- Great shave with the Simpsons commemorative brush; it look great and performs just as well! Some British soaps you might consider for your next British-theme shave would be- Taylor of Old Bond Street, Geo. F. Trumper; Phoenix & Beau, Truefitt & Hill, just to name a few. Nice brush. For the soap recommendation, I’d say Taylor of Old Bond Street. For me the most important trait of a brush is face feel.

I love commemorative items. Trufitt and Hill or Taylor's of Old Bond Street would be a great soap for that brush. They both have Royal warrants issued on them.

That brush is great looking. I also appreciate when I can get a shave in on video post days. Today, cold water shave, mentholated Cube, Proraso green soap and balm. Green Ray Brush, and the TRC aluminum razor with Gillette Perma-Sharp. Very refreshing. Good to see OhioShaves in the comments would be great to see a collaboration

In these Inflationary Times. HERE IS AN EASY WAY TO DO IT MY FRIENDs Use any hard Bar Soap, Tallow or Glycerin based Soaps out there? To fit in any Mugs or Cups? Like" (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Sticks. Just to name a few of them?) You can mix and match your old Soaps? Cut up the soap on a paper plate, pour your soap chunks with the shavings from the Paper Plate into a Mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, and microwave your soap. For about a minute or so? Place a paper plate under your mug in case it bubbles out of your cup? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') it is very hot and watery'''''. let it cool in PLACE'. after it cools, put it in a Sunny Window, until the Soap hardens? When using your soaps, use Dry Brush Less Water. It thickens the soap, making it easier to use on your face. Save your Money, spend it on your wife, don't listen to the shave Mafia. It saves me time and Money. Wheelchair Larry Happy New Year. Your Mileage may vary?

Mark, I do not own this brush yet, but I promise I will. Great video! I understand this is a synthetic brush (my preference) but what exactly does "SOVEREIGN FIBRE" translate to? Either way, what a wonderful brush from a historic company. Cheers! -Scott

These Simpson brushes interest me, however I have big hands and I’m concerned that I’d either have my hand covered in lather, or constantly banging the side of the bowl. Do you think that would be an actual issue, or I perhaps overthinking it?

The brush did get covered in lather because it made a lot of lather. the Gruner bowl has a generous interior, so there wa no banging. Despite the lather covering things, I was still able to have a nice hold of the brush. No problem. I'm notsurei could describe my hands are being large, but I had no probelms.:)
