Dalton, you are the definition of old school. No hoist, cold garage, smoke dangling from your mouth and a barrel full of cuss words. Much respect, brother. Your motto should be "Quit your bitching and just gir 'er done". Love this channel and all of your adventures. Keep on wrenching!

@@Hobodeluxe960 Easier said than done though. After 50 years of smoking I'M GOING THROUGH HELL at the moment, went cold turkey but am getting by with 5-6 a day and cutting to nothing eventually. Not only has it ruined my health (all my fault) but the $$ cost is out of control. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Your comment gives me inspiration though.

That accurately describes working on cars. The oil change turns into trying to find the oil leak. Which becomes rear main seal, clutch & bearing as well as wastegate and motor mounts

Nice job Dalton. I know you are an "everyman's mechanic" but no member would fault you if you eventually had a lift installed. Could even put it outside due to height issues. This would make it easier for us to see your work. As always, totally enjoy your channel and glad I found you when you were just barely at 1K subscribers.

Another tip: spend the big money on some Milwaukee Cobalt bits. Just do not ever loan them out! Also Diablo makes some good metal sawzall blades. Very few things I pony up big money for but saw blades and drill bits are some. Also get a corded Sawzall, for $100 it’s one thing I prefer to have a cord. Darn batteries only last about 7/8ths of the job

I was in the automotive business over 35 years . one trick I learned from working at a few dealerships . the cardboard that was used to ship parts to the dealership were used as floor pads to keep the greese slime and crap that came of the cars . including all the brake cleaner and extra antifreeze that missed the bucket or pan . once covered or done with a dirty job . into the dumpster . some shops don't have cleaners that clean Your floor . so most mechanics use this method to contain the shit from having to clean up later . even old Amazon cardboard . another is getting a mirror like on the back of a bathroom door . about two feet wide and 5-6 feet tall and mount it so the wide part is horizontal and mount it on the wall of where your driving into . this will help center the car or see where your at on a driveon or side post lift ! Happy New Year to you and your family ! Always enjoy your videos and sometimes learn a few things along the way .God Bless

My sister bought one of these her senior year of HS. She named it Farrah because it looked exactly like the one Farrah had, blue strips and everything. Wasn’t very fast but the cool factor was high and she drove that thing everywhere. When the engine finally seized after many years, she begged my dad to rebuild it but it wasn’t worth the cost. It sat in a field for 10 years then went off to the crusher.

LOL always a good video from yall. Hey Dalton I heard something in the engine when you fired it up before pulling it out of the pole barn, reason I mention this, so MAYBE something isnt happening that I went through. I bought a 1977 Ford F150 with a 302 that was a wholesale car ,from a Ford dealership my uncle worked at, he looked it over and other than the worse than Earl Scheib paint job, was a fairly decent truck, that the former owner had worked at the St Louis Mo Ford plant and had stuck a granny low 4 speed behind a 302 when the auto blew up, with the auto transmission rear end in it. The 302 ran really good, sounded like a Singer sewing machine running, a friends Dad had a place at the Lake Of The Ozarks, and needed some old doors and junk hauled down to a cabin he was building, so we get down there no problem, about half way back, I start hearing what sounded like lifter noise or a fuel pump spring broke, by the time I got back to Wright City Mo, it was getting louder, I pulled the left valve cover off, fired it up and on the 302 Ford of this era, they had a valve rotator cap on the end of the valve stem, that the rocker arm hit, that cap had split in half, and already beat the end of the valve and mushroomed it, I thought maybe I could get by just replacing the cap, Nope, had to pull the head and replace a valve, the REAL lucky part, the valve spring keeper had been wedged in by the split cap, and was paper thin, almost dropped the valve. Dad was helping me, I mentioned, I might as well pull the other valve cover to check it, well it isnt making noise I wouldnt bother , one week to the day, the lifter noise started on the other side, I took it off and another rotator cap had ate a hole in the top, luckily it didint mess the end of the valve up, a buddy had dropped a valve in his 302, and I got a whole baggie full of rotators and stuck in my glove box, I never had anymore trouble in over 150,000 mile out of it!! You might pull the valve cover off and check that tick it has so it dont drop a valve on Jessie!! Good video..

For the louvers to stop/reduce rattling use a roll of "rubberized" (weather resistant) adhesive foam and put it on the glass at the edges where the louvers lay and make contact.
