King Crimson - Heroes (Live in Berlin 2016) 

What a great version of this song. It is a real treat to hear Robert Fripp performing his wonderful guitar part again. His guitar playing was such an important contribution to the original recording 40 years ago. A fitting tribute to David Bowie.

King Crimson, no matter what musicians are playing along decades, are always the best of the best!!!

Impossible not to love David Bowie, impossible not to love King Crimson.

How could I forget that Fripp played the guitar on this gem. That was part of Bowie's magic to collect everyone's talent and make it his own.

A fantastic version, such a tight arrangement for a live performance, yet they make it look easy: that's the sign of greatness.

Wonderful. A lot of Eno in there, too. We were so lucky to have had all these greats.

I was a senior in high school when this came out.. It was okay to my 17year old ears. Now at 63 it is impossibly wonderful.

This band has not faded. They are still heroes.

Best Band Ever... Bar None Long Live Robert Fripp and The King

This is a Fripp & Eno song as much as a Bowie song, and this version with Tony Levin on base and Jakko Jakszyk signing has to be one of the greatest interpretations of this song ever, by all means.

Robert Fripp is the true master.

Mel Collins' sax adds such a gritty bottom-end to this version. Have always loved this song, this is my favourite version, Kudos to KC for nailing it!

King Crimson what can I say this is just brilliant 10-10. Followed you since my teenage years. I'm now 71.

This is a wonderful tribute to Mr. Fripp's friend David Bowie, who we sadly lost last year 40 years since Fripp recorded his emotional solos on the original recording.

Fripp: The greatest musician/composer of his time!

I saw Robert Fripp performing this live with David Bowie eons ago. Such a privilege to see and hear him doing it again!

Emotional stuff for me. I remember the wall being built & I remember footage of people being shot as they tried to escape. I stayed up & through tears of joy watched the TV coverage the night it came down. I remember being totally floored the first time I heard Heroes. Bowie, Eno, & Fripp together ? Was I dreaming ? It hasn't aged a day.

I was in Berlin on that day the wall first came down, a time in my life I will never forget, ever!

I've always loved this song, but when I found out the story behind it, it now has such a deep meaning for me. When Bowie was finally able to sing it face to face with the people off which he had written it for gave band members an incredible feeling that is hard to describe and rightfully so. God bless

I'm shaking and crying. Remembering the courage and incredible fear and hope of those days as the wall came down. As Soviet style repression fell. And now that I'm in middle of the fight to save democracy it pulls it all together. If anyone ever needed an anthem to find strength, this song is it! Thank you Mr. Fripp!

Thank You. I had the Privilege of Seeing the David Bowie Heroes Concert in April of 1978 in Detroit at Cobo Hall.. They Opened the Show with This. David Bowie was Playing Synthesizer, as Well as Brian Eno, and Robert Fripp was on Lead Guitar. I was Totally Blown Away back then. I Did not Know of the Existence of "This" Magnificent Video and I am Very Grateful to Whoever Posted this. I Cannot Thank You Enough. I feel very foolish. I was just past my 20th birthday and I was way too high on weed. I really thought what I stated above was the case, but I humbly stand corrected and apologize. The show was great. I only made it to the mid-concert intermission because I got very ill and had to take my date home and call it a night. All apologies. Peace out.

I think alot of people don't actually understand the contributions, Fripp and Eno from King Crimson, have made to music over the years, Bowie, U2, Genesis, and of coarse the original Court of the Crimson King with Greg Lake (ELP)! Personally i am impressed !

Bowie’s version at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert with Queen and Mick Ronson is just excellent, but this version blows that out of the water. It’s a perfect blend of everyone’s strengths, great drums, bass, and Fripp’s guitar, to make a driving memorable performance. I’m listening to it more than once an evening.
