There is no redemption for King David here. Even with forgiveness, David still deserves to be severely punished for his crimes once he enters the afterlife. The fact that Bathsheba and Uriah’s lives were utterly RUINED by that monster who’s *”after God’s heart”* is purely detestable. Anything less than severe punishment on David’s end is a great injustice. God has to PROPERLY make this right. That being, Uriah and Bathsheba reuniting in heaven, marrying each other forever, and having a child with Uriah’s and Bathsheba’s blood. All of this while severely punishing King David for his crimes even further in the afterlife.

I understand your frustration. King David does deserve all that you say and more. The fact is we all deserve great punishment for sins we have committed during our lifetime, however, God our father is rich in mercy. David earnestly sought after God’s forgiveness and God did forgave him (Psalm 51 and others). That’s why the Bible states that David was a man after God’s own heart. The truth is we all deserve great punishment but God’s love for us is so great that he is able to forgive us of all our unrighteousness if we are truly sincere. The Bible has shown God’s compassion to mankind in many different ways over the years. His love and compassion culminated in him sending his only son to earth to die for our sins. Accept his son Jesus Christ today and you too will be forgiven of all your sins and will one day reign with Jesus when he comes back to rule on the earth. God bless you richly.

@@BibleCues I think we both know that neither of us have nor ever will commit such evils acts like King David. Don’t lump us let alone a grand majority of other people in this boat of how *”we all deserve great punishment for our sins”* when it’s clear that God sees that all sin has different severities as should be punish those who’ve committed them more severely than others. Compared to us, King David supremely deserves nothing more than being thrown into the Lake of Fire even after forgiveness from God as the consequences King David suffered were NO WHERE NEAR as severe as they should have been. Stealing a large sum of money shouldn’t be treated on the same severity as violating someone else let alone murder. Does the robber deserve consequences? Yes. Severe consequences to the level of divine punishment? No. Yet King David never suffered a divine punishment from God. From my view, I believe it’s because of how King David was a man after God’s heart and was granted some mercy from God. Uriah and Bathsheba, however, were shafted and their lives were utterly ruined. How can someone see that and not think to themselves that God is allowing favoritism to play out here?! Earnest or not, King David still deserves to be thrown into the Lake of Fire for a given period of time. I say given period of time because it is true that God did work through David to do good things but overall, King David’s actions are a net negative on those around him and must be PROPERLY punished in the afterlife. Separating that, as I’ve stated beforehand, Uriah and Bathsheba deserve to be remarried to each other in heaven forever and have a child that has both Uriah’s and Bathsheba’s blood within him. Anything less than that is nothing more than a great injustice towards those two.

@@supersonicstyleatsonicspeed Thank you for your comments. According to the Bible, all sins are equal and there is no degree of sin. As man, we think according to the severity of sin but sin is sin to God. According to Romans 3:23-26. All of us have sinned and come short of God’s glory. It’s not according to our own beliefs but according to the word of God. At the end of days all will be judged by a true and just God and he knows the intents of our hearts and intentions. We sin in our thoughts, in our word and deeds but only our creator God makes the judgment and if he declares the vilest sinner to be free from guilt it is his choice and he made this possible because of his great love for us. So as deserving as King David was and as deserving as we are of great punishment, only God has the say so. He says he will forgive us of all our sins if we ask him no matter how dark they are. Uriah, Bathsheba and the baby that died also saw redemption. God in his mercy would have seen to that. God bless you richly. Also, there is no marriage in Heaven.

@@BibleCues Luke 12 47-48, John 19:11, Matthew 11:20-24, Matthew 23:23, 1 John 5:16-17, and James 3:1 all disagree with the notion of *all sin is equal*. All that Romans 3:23-26 means is that we all are sinners and cannot meet the standards of God’s glory. It does NOT state anything among the lines of how all sin is equal under the eyes of the Lord. Other verses do state that those who do teach the word of God will be judged more harshly than those who don’t. King David in this case being “a man after God’s own heart” should inherently judged more harshly than anyone else. Again, stop lumping us in with this “We all are deserving of great punishment” when it’s crystal clear that compared to others such as King David, the majority of people are not deserving of said great punishment. This mental gymnastics logic you’re going for shows to me that you’re trying to justify that we’re all deserving of horrible punishment when in reality, compared to others, we don’t deserve such a harsh punishment in the slightest. While true, King David did suffer consequences. Those consequences, however, were nothing more than a slap on the wrist for him and more so affected his entire family negatively instead. Those said consequences still ruined Uriah and Bathsheba’s lives to the point where irreparable damage has been done regarding their relationship as King David stole Bathsheba from him forcing Bathsheba to suffer in silence while Uriah sits in heaven suffering from what King David did to him and Bathsheba. I believe we both know that God needs to further punish King David even more in the afterlife by throwing him into the Lake of Fire for a time being or some other gruesome yet deserving method to finally make him pay for his sins. I see that you’re one of those people that believe that there is no marriage in heaven. Well, that’s a different discussion for another time but I can tell you this much. The verse that states that (Matthew 22-32) is a verse that is taken out of context in multiple ways to the point where it suggests the alternative.

@@supersonicstyleatsonicspeed Thank you for your comments. Thank God that Psalm 103:10 states that “God hath not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.” Thank God for his mercies expressed in him coming to earth as a man (Jesus Christ) to redeem mankind from his sins. All our sins are washed away in the sea of forgetfulness, Micah 7:18-19.
