Biometric system" everyone know that BMW have this system 20 years ago or maybe more, we know if oxygen went down inside the car then BMW open AC Vents etc etc ! but what happened last few years when i was driving my E65 After big rain there was few leak from top which make the car smell not good, so i bought a small rechargeable Ozone generator which usually works fine for most cars, but in BMW what happens when i start this small device in the car while i wad just driving at speed of 30km !!? 1) Car automatically opened all windows 2) Car automatically started A/C system at full speed with external vents open 3) Car automatically turn on all four orange blinkers"flashers" 4) Car automatically Cancel fuel pedal then started braking slowly 5) Car automatically full stopped then put gear on N then apply Parking braking, 2 second after gear goes "P" Then car engine stopped! Then Car won't start again or turning Air blower off! then i remembered the only changed happened is that Ozone device so i switch it off immediately then few seconds later car works as normal! What ever i see in any modren cars includes Mercedes i saw it long time back in BMW's cars! Sorry for my bad English!

Their cars are not as practical as they claim, but they still use technology that is decades behind the European or American manufacturer, This simplicity makes everyone can repair their cars simply in any garage, unlike German car technology, which Japan has not reached most of it yet and which was manufactured in the late nineties.! I have an engineer friend who works for Toyota RND! He told me once that we buy the latest German and American cars and completely dismantle them, and another team comes to determine which part remains and which part is removed for the new RND Cars. This was when they were creating the Lexus and Infiniti brands. So when they say that the most practical cars in the world are Toyota, then BMW, then Mercedes, Well, BMW and Mercedes use the best spare parts in the world and the best raw materials including Rubber in the world, but does Japan do the same thing? Of course not because the secret of their cars remaining in service is that they are easy to repair and cheap to maintain. Another example, if you get 3 model 1998 year cars of those three brands that are still working, you will find that Mercedes and BMW have been in garages 3 to 5 times over the past 25 years, while Toyota or Lexus, you will find that they have been in the garage 40 to 60 times and the engine has been changed twice or more. By the way, they are stupid imitators. For example, when the Germans cancelled all the wires and converted them to fiber optics at the beginning of the millennium, Toyota, Nissan and Honda tried to imitate them and came up with wireless technology, hahahahaha, which caused accidents, scandals and losses worth billions and all those cars were withdrawn from the market, and then they returned to wires. lol Look.. What will the QX80 do when your body temperature rises? Hahahahaha, will the car stop working? Or will it tell the driver's wife or friends about it and embarrass him ? The luxury inside a 98 Mercedes is better than this cheap plastic inside lol 😂 You know what? I had QX56 2012 for 18 months.. I hated that car forever! For the 2500km+2500km trip I had to visit 5 garages . So good luck with the QX80 Stupid shape . Total sold of Cadillac Escalade around 1-million cars! Total sold of infiniti qx56 around 110k cars! So yeah Escalade is 10 times better than qx56.

It’s not surprising at all. GM’s entire business is trucks and truck-based SUVs, Nissan’s business mainly consists of small cars and crossovers. Another thing to considering is that GM’s revenue is about twice that of Nissan’s. Nissan likely didn’t have that much of a budget developing this in comparison to the huge budget that GM had with the Escalade.

And GM's updated triplets are right around the corner.

Agreed, the built quality must be so high for it to look like a uni-body vehicle, love it. Only people with great taste and sophistication can appreciate the QX80.

Not sure if this model year Infiniti is manufactured in Japan. I know the outgoing model was. I would take a vehicle manufactured in Japan over any GM vehicle manufactured in the U.S. Look at Toyota for example super reliable but they started manufacturing them here in the U.S and the now the new tundras have a recall for engine failure. So yeah Infiniti is definitely better built. Don’t even get me started on lifter issues with GM vehicles lol

100%, and the experience is more on par with a Hyundai/Kia dealer. I owned a 2018 Q50RS for 3 years and aside from the car being rather disappointing, the dealer experience was mediocre at best, far from the standards of BMW or Lexus. They are no nicer than a Nissan dealership, either. You definitely don’t feel like you’re driving anything close to premium when you are sitting at the dealer waiting for your oil change.

People have really forgotten this. The QX80 is an incredible effort considering the relative lack of resources they have compared to the bigger companies.

But Nissan/Infiniti takes FOREVER to make any changes and by the time they do they are behind again.

No, it's not. It's a unibody, packaged not very efficiently, too big, not much luxury or buttons, and the third row and cargo area is smaller than the regular escalade

@@deadbot61 The Cadillac Escalade V is not a race car either.; also the Nissan (Datsun) Patrol is the old Datsun version of the Nissan Armada and QX56/80 . The Patrol name was discontinued in 1984 and never had 1000 hp , then or now.
