@@PRHILL9696 Its OK. Most singers use background vocals to enhance their vocal lines. In the past, King used a "double track" to replace backing vocals on his recordings. But in live performances it is more honest to use backing vocals. So it's no big deal that he now uses backing vocals on his recordings as well.

@@PRHILL9696 WTF he does all the high notes. She does "Backup" singing. Not sure why you'd even think that. That would mean on new songs and during the concerts it's her singing most of every song since King sings high notes 80% of the time.

When I was a kid in the 70's and saw pictures of Kiss before actually hearing them, this is what I expected them to sound and be like. LOL. There have been decades of scary band pretenders, but with King Diamond, what you see is exactly what you get.

im 14 right now and i went to a king diamond concert in 2015, November 23rd, 2015 - Pittsburgh, PA - Stage AE. i got to touch the stage i got a drum stick and king himself handed me a rose pedal and a pick. king if you read this, awsome music, don't ask me how but i was on my dads shoulders and fell asleep mid concert and i peed my pants in my sleep on his shoulders. the king diamond concert is a core memory of mine...

Anytime an older band like King Diamond sees a young person in the audience instead of old timers like me, it's refreshing. Young people/teenagers are the lifeblood of metal music, and gets depressing for a band from the 80s to see nothing but old people in the audience night after night. King Diamond probably appreciated seeing you there.

I saw Mercyful Fate in 1984 on there very first American soil show in Portland Oregon, saw them three more times. Seen King Diamond three times and met him on the THEM tour and got my picture taken with him with no makeup. Saw him again in 2019. I'm 55 and now can die a happy man now

Yes, it´s a very good song, classic King Diamond. Like 1986 again. It took four years from the release to the video. If we assume, that new record has 10 songs, so it´s not gonna take 40 years to release the new album. I´m sure King lives forever, but I sure don´t have that much time left. Sooner the better. Love how this one sounds. It's got that certain soemthing that I felt was most prominent in the KD albums of the 80s and late 90s, particularly The Eye and Voodoo. But that's just me. I also kept getting a sense of soemthing from an early-90s Mercyful Fate song... a bit of melody from A Gruesome Time. I doubt anyone else will know what I mean or pick up on what I'm hearing. It's quick, and easy to miss, but it's setting off the "this sounds familiar" detector in my brain, lol.

Mercyful Fate's first album was 1983, so King Diamond has been doing this for all that time. Melissa and Don't Break the Oath were masterpieces. I still listen to them.
