I love the term "Official Bootleg"
@variok
@variok Год назад
It's a great idea. Frank Zappa did it back in the 70's, when he realised bootleggers were making money out of live recordings, he took matters into his own hands by cloning bootlegs of the bootlegs under a series called "Beat the Boots". He copied the audio & artwork of the bootlegs and released them under his own label, selling them cheaper than the bootlegs.

Don't sleep on Bonnaroo folks. 2022 was my 10th bonnaroo and I was at this show! Easily top 3 of the whole weekend. Bonnaroo is a very unique festival! 50,000 + people camping together in the heat and fucked weather, coming together for music and having a good time. Everyone helps each other and generally cares for the well being of their festival friends. Of course there might be some bad mixed in the good and that should be expected when that many people get together. BUT! the positive out weighs all the negative and the weekend is just magical! Highly recommend this festival to any really music lover that doesn't mind getting dirty and roughing it for a weekend.

On my second watch-through now without a pause after the first. This may be in the top 2-3 Gizz videos in consideration of everything-the quality of the sound, the performance, the video, the setlist, etc. The only minor issue is the overly-hyperactive cutting between different shots, the constant zooms, closeups etc. Supposed to enhance the energy I assume, but the performance has all we need. Fortunately it’s only in some places, not throughout…So still beats almost anything I’ve seen.

For sure. Was one of the highlights at the 10/15/22 Chicago show.

That sick guitar solo at the end of Magenta Mountain is the best moment of the show! Such a dreamy song, with a dark, grim guitar solo at the end. Drum solo amid Gaia is also incredible :)

As much as I love the over the top face melt of "The Dripping Tap" or "Head On/Pill", when we witnessed "Magenta Mountain" at "Timeland" no-one had heard it before, and when the solo kicked in, the whole place went ballistic :) one of the reasons to see them live.. and they played the back end of "Murder of the Universe" fun times :)

If you like that sort of stuff, the long middle-eastern sounding guitar solo: you might like Ozric Tentacles. Tracks: Vibuthi, Vita Voom, Eternal Wheel.

I saw them in Prague three days ago, the rendition of Magenta Mountain wasn't as long as it was here, but still had that extended jam towards the end and it was absolutely one of the high points of the show. Truly an amazing live band - they always give something more than in the studio versions, and its always different every show.

It's awesome to see how much love the band is getting here. One of the few bands I've been lucky enough to see a handful of times and they play their heart out every. single. time.

I’ve always enjoyed KG but when I saw this live show a few weeks ago, I can’t stop listening. Haven’t been this pumped about a band in a long time. So much talent on that stage and they know how to bring the energy! Tickets to the closest show to me is sold out but I’ll catch them next time for sure. Thanks for posting this!
