You know, this portrayal of the Hollow Knight makes me very happy that in the godhome ending, it is shown that they were still alive. Like bro finally got to stop being in eternal stasis.

The part with PV growing up and suprassing PK in height absolutely stabbed me in the heart.

Not gonna lie, the animation of the Hollow Knight's Shade flying at the Radiance was kinda funny in a way? Like, it's making eye contact with basically a physical god like, "Hey bitch, remember me!?"

I always wished that The Hollow Knight and the Pale King could have gotten their happy ending. This is so good.

1:08 I loved this part,'cuz like- everyone puts the PK like someone who didn't care about locking THK but if he truly treated them with love and gave them feelings then he DID care

That ending is just- ah it gets me every bloody time. THK getting blasted straight to the afterlife, only to find themselves in a familiar place to find their father, who is just proud of their child- agh. I can't help but think like- in the fight before hornet comes in with the support, the radiance is mostly in control but once THK recognizes the same vessel they left behind who knows how long ago, that's when they start fighting back. Partly as an apology for not coming to help, and to finish what was started, as it knows it isn't fit anymore.

From 1:09 to 1:23 MY HEART- This-this- I don’t have words 😭 this just broke me- just because everyone talks about how THK would have feel when entering the Black Egg,but no one talks how TPK had feel,if it’s true that THK had feelings because of his father that means that TPK loved them

1:10 "Hey watch this, Lis. You can pinpoint the exact moment where his heart rips in half!"

At the end, PV must have been having such mixed emotions (ironically) Like, their dad is there! Hooray! But…that means he died-

This seems weird to say, but I love how much personality the hollow knight has, even though its not supposed to have personality. This is instantly one of my new favorite animatics. Excellent song choice too.

GOD there are so many tiny details in this that make it so fucking good and people have pointed those out, but something that REALLY gets me is the way they just sort of take in their freedom at the end, they seem so relieved. and then the way they go towards their father, it just seems like they’d be feeling so much. Maybe they embrace at the end or maybe their emotions overwhelm them and take them to their knees but either way, I love that you ended it on the note that they finally get some closure and comfort and catharsis. They really deserve it 😭 (Also the song choice is so perfect, all the scenes with the vessels in the abyss as the creatures below the deck made me feel insane. It’s so good)

True, heartbreaking, beautiful tragedy with a wonderful, well deserved happy ending. Pale Prince wasn't any less human than any other bug. This is what made them lose, but it's also what made them a true hero. The champion of Hallownest ❤

beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I love how you portrayed the relationship of the Pale King and the Hollow Knight. Everything about it was what I always crave when I read or see stuff featuring those two.

Oh, my heart genuinely hurts and I'm in real, literal tears 😭😭 this is so inspiring and beautiful and 100% the reason I'm sobbing in bed at 7 pm

With knowing HK lore this hits harder than original music video, much harder.

OMG you're back!! With an absolutely amazing animatic that gave me chills and made me cry no less 😭💖 Honestly, I love how dynamic and characterful your animatics are, the character designs, lighting, and composition are all truly brilliant!

Coming back to view because of my love for the animation and song (you introduced me to the band with this!! Love their stuff so far :)), and noticing all the little details! Saw it before but PV’s desperate clutch to the King’s Idol in times of reassuring themself as well as when they go into the Black Egg, shivering and struggling for the grasp of truth and a final hold for a final goodbye. Then noticed the super cool illustration of the knight coming face to face with PV (are they called HK at this point??? Uh), them wearing a desperate expression to uphold their father’s wish and fend off this intruder, yet the trauma in the shadow of their face shows as well as the obvious hint that the plan failed through the glow of the orange eyes. Loved the animation of when Hornet came in to secure PV’s head in place ready to be dream nailed it just being wrenched to face forward, the emotion and struggle in the movement with the placement and pacing!! And finally, realizing how absolutely personal it must have been for PV/HK to confront The Radiance themself, the being that punished him at the thought of their father when reflecting in the Black Egg. PV was never pure, even before the Pale King connected with them (as shown in the cutscene), but was gifted this future to save Hallownest by their father who thought so. Confronting this final enemy and having the power to rip out what is left of it themself (even though it’s just making way for the Knight to slash Radiance themself but I’m focusing on PV’s side here), all that malevolence built up over the time of sitting in the Black Egg with the demon of a moth plaguing PV’s mind. It can be set free, let out, with a violent act of revenge. And as the light clears, PV find themselves in the palace grounds again, pale architecture and flora surrounding them as they twirl to view it, and their father standing there as if waiting for them (his expression confirms it; something like “you’re here” to me with a twist of thankfullness and a tired look, so many emotions mixed in!!). They meet eyes and go to meet, maybe implied to embrace after all this time. A true act of “I’m sorry.” Just gorgeous gorgeous work done here, LOOVEEE what you did with the song and this is truly a gem 😭💖💝💕. Usually use a lot of emojis myself but this is very serious haha XD

EXTREMELY good. oms. some moments: when the hollow knight looks back and then quickly away at like. 0:15 ? the dreamers looking at it at 0:22 ! THE GROWING UP AT 0:24 CUTE LIL NOD/BOW AT 0:33 0:38-0:52 :58 THE. THE LOST KIN. OH MAN. AND LIKE. HOW THE HOLLOW KNIGHT WALKS AWAY WITH THAT EXPRESSION ON ITS FACE 1:11 THE WAY IT STORMS INTO THE EGG (and the pale king breaks down crying right after...) 1:27 the other knights ;-;

I feel so emotionally impacted by this animatic. It’s very sad in a good way. Thank you!

i did not think this would pull at my heart strings but- it so did-

At 2:23 I LOVE how the Hollow Knight stands up tall. His first pose is all angry and vengful, but then he switches to a more noble pose, a regal pose. LOVE it. This whole animatic is incredible!

This is one of my absolute favorite Hollow Knight animations I've ever seen. The music choice, art, syncing to the song, color palette, storytelling, etc. are all incredible. :)

these days I've been thinking of the vessel's backstory, its so heartbreaking I'm sobbing he migh have emotions, but he hides it either for being afraid of dying or because he want his dad to feel proud of him or maybe he was born emotionless but developed emotions at some point of his life also, I'm using "he/him" for the hollow knight because if I'm not wrong its confirmed at city of tears("his sacrifice") but if anyone's bothered I can just edit the comment

It puts things in perspective to think from the Hollow Knight’s point of view. Especially when the one vessel, his sibling, he saw before he was chosen as the Hollow Knight was the same vessel who suddenly showed up one day to kill/free him.

I kinda hate how similar Hollow knight and Ghost.. At the abyss they part ways, Hollow find a family in pale king hornet 5 knights etc, while later Ghost find family and friends through their journey. Both love their family and both sacrificing themselves to keep those people safe and happy.. It broke my heart..
