Thing is, it takes longer, and SNK wouldn't be able to develop more characters in the same span of time as what they did with KOF XIV. I would like it back too, but it's not realistically gonna work out as well now. Besides, 2.5D isn't so bad for KOF.

Kof 13 is the best for animations quality and drawings solidity. Maybe kof 13 is equal or better than sf3 third strike. Kof had his own grainy pixel style but i think this smooth and manga style pushes kof to another level. This is kof + sfalpha style.
Soldier 436 this game is one of the last 2d hd games (anyway i think 3d is behind it with a 2d like camera). Maybe you're right but I really like these neat graphics. About gameplay I think capcom won because of the 6 buttons system vs the old snk/neogeo 4 buttons system. 6 buttons give u more combo and styles options.
@@weonculiao1299 Nah, KOF13 is way better than SF3:TS. SF3 may have better graphics overall, but the game doesn't show it fully. You only see it being used during Gill's Seraphic Wing move and nothing else. In KOF13, however, all characters are a thing of beauty. As a former Capcom fan (pre-SFV), I appreciate SNK's extraordinary efforts.
Ikr, too bad kof xiv doesn't have such climatic/hype super! I love the sound design in xiii. Kofxiv is a good game but the super isn't hype enough, the sound design sounds lame
KoF 14 is a product of SNK attempting to adapt the 3D system of arcade fighting games. They just... failed, which is.... another reason why they announced KoF XV earlier. However, I think this game is unique because of its sprite resourcefulness and a system that engages in executions and timings that are applied within the Drive/Hyper Drive Cancel modes. It also tests your uniqueness in using less moves. I'm only a modern kid, so of course I hadn't experienced the nostalgia of the older games of the franchise
@@eliasnicolasmiranda4940 Clark is a result of the big crunch SNK went through making this game. They were so pressed for time that they just took Ralph's sprites and more or less replaced his head with Clark's.
Unfortunately yes. This was an A+ fighting project that people didn't buy. KOF 12 upset many fans. KOF 12 was as lacking as Street Fighter V's initial release. I have this title on 360 and PC. Buy it. KOF 13 is worth it.
Dark/Evil Ash’s are really the same thing, except Germinal can be used normally without using Sans-Culotte, and Sans-Culotte is a different super, being fullscreen fireballs, similar to Elizabeth’s NeoMax. Frudictor also has a different animation, but nothing much about his identical Super Specials have changed, except Thermidor is stationary. I also don’t know if you can choose whether you want it to be stationary or not, because Evil Ash isn’t playable on the XBox 360 (One) release, and either way he isn’t playable at all.
@@VixXstazosJOB It's much more limited in XIV, as you can only change the outfit (some of them are available as DLC, though the same thing happens in XIII), while XIII allows you to change the color for each part of the sprite (including his/her skin) and even the outfit for some characters. You can also change the color of their undergarments for certain female characters like Yuri.
I hope they stay away of this artstyle it was not good Terry, Clark and Ralf looks like they took steroids, Joe looks skinny as fuck, Takuma and Billy looks weird
Artistically, the best KOF ever. Period. Sadly though the female characters didn't had the treatment they deserved. It seems they even weren't designed by the same artists that made the guys.
11:11 It's obvious in the long run that even if Ash didn't show it, he couldn't handle the Magatama of Yasakani due to the Orochi powers, if he can't even do as much with it as Iori could with his years of experience using it.
this anime style is what kill this KOF some characters fits but some characters don't (example Clark, Ralf, Terry, Joe no seriously he looks skinny as fuck, much of the KOF girls looks too bland they don't look strong as it was the old KOF designs
Am i the only one who don't like the new design of the characters, they either look too skinny or too beefy Edit : I meant KOF 13, I actually like 15 design because the character physique look balanced
Personally, I'd say that gg2020 looks just as good as Skullgirls and kof 13, and which one is better is mainly preference between 2D and 3D. Which is good, because as much as I like 2D, I can understand the need to make it a little cheaper with models.
Nicely done. So, what comes next? Kof XII? SVC Chaos? Capcom vs SNK1? Do you plan on going back and doing the rest of the fatal fury games as well as the art of fighting series?
I will do XII if I can emulate it properly. I have XIV, SVC and CvS2 ready, will upload them soon. I also plan to do the rest of FF games and AoF at some point. I also plan to include some Mugen titles like 2dyier's KoF Wing.
There is only one super I hate the most and it's King's desperation lv.3. Idk how throwing some Venom Strike that looks like Snow is gonna work. They should've at least given her a rework of either her flash kick super or her version of Ryoku Ranbu
Can't say I've been playing this game since the 90's like most but I can say from what I've gotten to see and what I've gotten to play, I can say it was odd for how some characters like Terry looked a bit buff and Athena's more school girlish look instead of her previous design was different but I think for Terry, it was the fact that it would be odd seeing him a bit skinnier in this design. All in all, I can tell this one and one previous had an odd change to the story but I could be wrong. I didn't think was all that bad but we all do have preferences
Mai and yuri looks like two balloons on a stick. Takuma looks like daimon. Ralf and Clark, I don't wanna talk about them. These sprites though HD, looks out of proportions. How about making old sprites HD that would've been better.
