In regards to the query who was the first filipino, it felt awesome that u mentioned jose rizal. when people would ask the same from me, i also replied the same. I believe i got it from the book of l.m. guerrero whose book is titled 'the first filipino'😊. Thanks for the elaboration on what constitutes a nation, that its not blood or race, but the nationalism embodied. The same brings elation to me, however, it also gives frustrations and disappointnments. Do we, as filipinos actually embody strong nationalism? When i was younger, the heroes' tales brought this strong sense of emotion of being a filipino. accompany that with a cinematic video of the lupang hinirang😊 but reading more and learning more of the humanity of the 'esteemed' national heroes, these fallible persons, were they fighting for independence or their own self interests and greed?? its disconcerting. Your explanation for why filipinos tend to go overseas for better pastures, its nice that it has grassroots from our ancestors trait like the 'bayanis' but personally, i will always associate it w/ the government we had and we currently have of encouraging, if not peddling, the filipino citizens to go abroad. well y not encourage it? the revenue from ofws services in other countries keep our country from being totally bankrupt. if this is not modern day slavery, then it is something else equally abominable. the thing is for me, our slavery changed hands from foreigners to fellow men. perhaps, quezon will be proud that ph is being ruled like hell by its own citizens. apologies for the sarcasm. historians like u are badly needed by our fellowmen, if not by the younger generations cos the old breed's too indoctrinated its a lost cause. not all of them but i grew tired of the 'sabi ng lola/lolo ko' gospel truth. well, the cleopatra netflix did the same script and they sued by egypt😂 History do not repeat itself but time and forgetfulness are the allies of tyrants (smaller and smaller circles😅). events will never be the same, but if we are running head first to disaster cos we do not take heed the lessons of the past, we are fools. historians, like you, must have a louder voice especially in these times, these era of misinformations. kudos!!!

May gusto lang po ako iinput na pwede nyo inconsider, bago tayo sakupin ng mga espaniol, may harmonious relationship na po tayo with malay, indones at tsina, especially sa trade and culture , and never po tayo sinakop ng tsina, dahil for the longest time mga kapitbahay natin sila at kaibagan, masasabi nyo po ba na ganun pa din ang treatment nila sa atin?
