Just saw them open for Weedeater last week in Greensboro, NC. I was vaguely familiar with the name King Parrot, but I knew next to nothing about them otherwise. I was wearing my Frankenhooker shirt that night, and as I was waiting in line for the venue to open, Ari (I guess that's his name) just happened to be standing close by drinking a beer. He asked me if Frankenhooker was a band, but I explained that it was a B horror comedy from the early 90's, and from there we started talking horror movies, bands, etc. Eventually I asked him if he was with any of the bands playing, and of course he said he played guitar for King Parrot. I told him I'd heard about them through a friend of mine who saw them years back with Superjoint, but I wasn't familiar with their music. He said "I hope you like what you see and hear tonight." Fast forward to the start of their set. My initial impression of them was if Napalm Death and Crass had a bastard child that ended up in Australia. Total controlled chaos. They were very high energy, entertaining as hell and didn't take themselves seriously. (On a side note, being in front row was probably the best way to have a first experience with them.) And now that I've been listening to them/watching their music videos at home, it just makes me appreciate them even more. TL;DR: One of their guitar players likes horror movies, and now I'm a fan after watching them live with no prior knowledge of them other than their name popping up occasionally.
I watched the live stream of this concert and it was definitely a live performance, the whole show had issues in the beginning, even Big Phil addressed it on his first track. King Parrot rules and this was a wicked way to start the show. Roman fucking rules
They opened for DOWN in OKC a few years back.. most powerful duo I've ever seen live. I saw Down in 95 at the deep ellum show without knowing who they were... being a massive Pantera fan I couldn't fucking believe my eyes... BTW This video needs a track list badly... fuckin great stuff. COME BACK TO OKC PLEASE!

nice yowie screech at the beginning but mines better i reckon , the key is to have it eminate from just behind the sinuses whilst breathing in slowly not out.
@@ofbloodnloss So you’re telling me they did one take of live audio, but two or more takes of video only? Pretty sure no one does that, dude. But good effort...
