I know this is a break up song and the "buried you a month ago" lyrics aren't necessarily literal but ever since the first time I heard this song I always got the feeling this talia had died rather than just left relationship wise. This became my favorite song roughly almost a year ago, from randomly finding this song/kingprincess through just clicking on someone's random RU-vid channel in a comment section, then clicking on their music playlist.. and this song immediately hit hard with me.. I relate to this so much through the heartbreak and exile that i had freshly been dealt, last year in may... and it has been almost a year since then, now. I went to a King Princess concert in Orlando driving my 30yearold car putting it to the test for the long drive as I just got it drive-able finally and was barely getting used to driving. everyone doubted me that the car would make it there safely, but i didn't care because I figured hey maybe I could meet some awesome sweet souls like me, so it would be worth the risk!! And that I would enjoy the concert as well. So I went by myself because I was so alone at the time and didn't have anyone to ask.. and when I did on social media or just random friends i didn't get a yes, or even any replies. Now, the concert was actually amazing and it was such an awesome experience that I can't put it into words because King Princess is very talented and also very genuine. I was so glad that i had went, to say the least! Sadly, as I did go alone, it did feel weird and odd for me, and i guess it should feel even weirder that I am a Straight Guy... O.O -going to this lesbian concert?? So the thing is.. I felt so nervous and I didn't end up meeting or befriending anyone at the concert, I sat at the 2nd floor seats, and while I was 22 I had realized the crowds around me were of an under-aged scene, so that also made me pretty hesitant to talk to anyone sitting/standing around me... To conclude, the performance was awesome but, I didn't make any like-minded friends like I had expected to. And even through all of this time, I still consider King Princess to be my favorite artist. but i have been alternating listening to a whole variety of interesting and different types of music since that time. I do wonder though, are there other Straight girls and Straight guys that listen to King Princess? If so.. I would like to make friends with them >.

This is so pretty and heart wrenching. I discovered them yesterday after stanning on a bunch of Fiona Apple content and she mentioned going to one of their shows then I heard her cover of “I know” and instantly became a fan.
