That dog Bear is the image of my 10 months old GSD Zoltan and he is about the same height and build. Everyone who sees Zoltan thinks he's a big adult dog but he's still growing and still a baby.
I call King Shepherds "German Shepherds, with Long-Coat Husky Floof aka a German Shepherd that sheds like crazy ..." ... But seriously, they can be amazing dogs. Years ago, a pub I used to visit had a regular, with a King Shepherd. Diesel was easily almost 3ft at his shoulders (most of that being floof), and he was a gentle old soul. I don't ever remember him barking, although he would make a 'bwroof' sound if you asked him a question. Kids that were barely taller that his ears, also loved him, as he didn't mind call the pets, and hugs he got. In fact, I think he loved being the center of attention ... One story about him, if I may ... That same pub had the best burgers anywhere within a couple of miles radius. You had to wait a bit longer than the McD's, a 15 minute walk away, but boy there were worth those extra minutes. Unfortunately, a fire happened that destroyed part of the kitchen, but, being a good chunk of the income came from it, the owners had to struggle to make do. One day, orders were backed up by a good 30 minutes, if longer. A couple of guys sitting a couple of tables away from my friends and I, where complaing, despite the waitress telling them the situation, at least twice. Eventually the get there order, took a few bites, declared neither burger wasn't worth their time, and left without paying. Along comes Diesel; their table happened to be easily his head height, he was that big. A quick few sniffs, and before you knew it, he chomped down on one burger; sniffed at the other, and chomped that as well, all whilst his owner was watching him. After Diesel was done with his free meal, his owner called him back, and Diesel went back to his Dad, with that grin that dogs do went they do something naughty, but not that bad. Heck, he was a big dog, after all, and given his owner was a retired gentleman - wish I could remember his name - obviously he got exercised at least twice a day, and probably had a decent workout before his dad had a post-walk pint, or three ... Reason for telling that story is as soon as the guys left their mostly uneaten burgers, Diesel recognised it as a chance for free fuel ... took one look at his Dad, for approvial, then went for it ... which means King Shepherds are as smart as both German Shepherds, and Huskies & Malamutes ... In fact, I wonder what you'll get if you cross a King Shepherd with a Long-Coat Malamute ...
The king shepherd is much calmer than a German shepherd. Though they look, much the same. But the king is usually bigger. I think due to the great piranesse. That is in there make up,,,,,
I’m just curious, The other dog is it a full bred German Shepherd adult or still growing? The king shepherd looks at monstrous next to it. Appreciate the reply cause I am seriously in the market for either a German Shepherd or a king shepherd.
The German Shepherd is a fully grown dog and in this video was 6 years old at 75lb and 23" high. The king is a large breed and you can see the difference in size.
Hi Sunil (and everyone), I understand your interest in this breed as I am as well. I did find the official website for "king shepherd" and there are the recognised breeders. You can check it out if you like 👉www.kingshepherd.com . If you're in the US, you can easily get one. Unfortunately, it's still tough for Spain; I'll probably need to import one for me. Best wishes!
Brother I am having a question , I am Having a Gsd Who is 4months old and is a little shy and scared , isn't showing any signs of guarding , at what age did yours start guarding ? And did you give him a special training for guarding?
I have a male German Shepherd who’s 3 years old and we never gave him any training and he barks whenever someone walks by our house and isn’t super friendly to strangers, i think your dog is still small, mine at 4 months didn’t guard either, give it some time.
@@tajindersinghsandhu2897 no problem, also if you want him to actually guard I recommend you put him on guard training when he gets older, because there still going to guard but if you train them they’ll do it way better
