When I first heard this song it instantly became one of my favourites. Resonates with my position at the moment. Stoked that it was live on Triple J. They deserve to go big.
First time I heard these boys I thought it was an unreleased Yothu Yindi track and then to hear that two members are related to Yothu Yindi members, it all made sense.
man what a song my Aboriginal friend in Kalbarri is in some pain at the moment and I recommended that he listened to this to help him.And I'm a whitey. This reaches all races! much love.❤
I grew up in Los Angeles and know nothing of the Yolŋu tongue. However, this song resonated through me in a way I can't really explain… I need to get the eff outta Baltimore. Damn. *Sigh* 😵
Love it. Even my 3 year old and 6 year old daughters dance around to this. The new generation of Warumpi Band!!!! But in your own special way of Rock. Deadly!!!
Thought the same ... Love the sound & very reminiscent of the Warumpi Band (an amazing band in their own right). Great to see the rock tradition continues.
I heard these boys on the radio for the first time, they've got an incredible sound, the range of the singers is intense, so much so my face melted off !! Keep making music boys,. keep playing your guts out, can't wait to see them live.
I love this song. It is resonant of the Warumpi band and locals after visiting in 1979 and 1981 and 1986 in the top end. It's fresh like they were at the time. Still listening.
I've been walking for a long time I think I've seen you before And I'll see you again We're not gonna slow down There's a place where you live And a place where you grow This is your lifestyle You can be what you wanna be You can do what you wanna do Feel that cool breeze on your face again Feel the rain on your hair Running back to you, running back to you The sun goes down in the distance I wish that you could see this That I'm lost in the city Getting lost in the city The colours are changing, na-ma-na I know my home is never far away Get me out of the city This is your lifestyle You can be what you wanna be You can do what you wanna do Feel that cool breezе on your face again Feel the rain on your hair Running back to you, running back to you The sun goеs down in the distance I wish that you could see this That I'm lost in the city Getting lost in the city The colours are changing, na-ma-na I know my home is never far away Get me out of the city Get me out of the city Get me out of the city Get me out of the city
This song resonates so deeply with me, I cannot stop listening. During the tough times of 2021, I would put this on and feel like I was running free through a field somewhere far away - incredible band, incredible song, can't wait to hear more!
