This music is euphoric; dives straight to my cranium. I won a lot of dancing contents with this music back in the day. Most importantly, listen to the lyrics; pray for God to remove evil because evil is not good. Ubulu you are truly the King. I remember how you rocked the crowd in my late grandfather's burial ceremony. RIP my guy!
We all know that Ubulu was from Ukwuani. What the guy meant is that Ubulu was a known figure in Ika land. As a matter of fact, most Ukwuani musicians are very prominent in Ika land. The likes of late Rogana Ottah, Smart Williams and King Ubulu were very prominent among the Ikas.
This song and another titled Kakene Chukwu are the best songs recorded by the great Ubulu. Check out the rythm and vocal rendition. What about his creative use of Ukwuani proverbs. He was a poet in the delivery of his music in Ukwuani language. Till date, no one has equalled his mastery of the art. Ofo Nwa onye Ubulu! Ibu Oke onyeke, nodikoma n'ebi di!
