Featuring the tallest and coaster on the planet, Kingda Ka! [This is not my video] All credit goes to Music: DJ Mystic - Time To Say Goodbye Recorded by: Doug and Brian Edited by: Doug Source: www.eastcoastco...
Been waiting to ride this since middle school man I might finally have my chance this summer. There’s no greater joy than seeing a coaster on the internet for so many years and actually ridden it. I experienced this was Tatsu. I waited 14 years to finally ride it.
I just rode this last weekend, it was a pure adrenaline rush, it was funny because a lot of people in line were talking big then got all scared when we sat on the ride. It was misting that day too and they can't run the ride with any moisture in the air because it hurts too much hitting your face.
@ahotrollercoaster When a roll back with passengers occurs, they do shoot you up again. Before You enter the Ride there is a sign saying, "ATTENTION RIDERS! On occasion, Kingda Ka's train will not travel over the hill. This is a normal occurrence. The train is designed to safely roll back and reset to be launched again." And now that i reread your comment, I see that you are right, after 3 roll back they would let you off, since the coaster obviously is not working right. Sorry for misread
@cremeens123boy - Intamin AG designed both Kingda Ka and Top Thrill so it's design is nearly identical. Only difference is Kingda Ka's bunny hill at the end.
the shoulder restraints reall do and i have been on this ride almost 30 times no lie. it does and also wen they moved the line from under the track that really really took some of the atmosphere from the ride
its not being torn down, they are doing repairs which should secure the structure for good, just call the place and ask, im sure it cannot be closed for over a month, it will probably open in august
lapbars dont always work if ur too thin you fly up. thin on the way down you smash and break your hipbone. which is why there are over the shoulder restraints now. and tt isnt smoother because its slower. and kingda ka is better quality. definetly
this ride is at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson New Jersey and Stealht actually doesn't have the 270 degree twist when you wome down so it's more like Xcelerator at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park California.
they used over the shoulder restraints as they made the height and weight restriction much less strict. The lap bar design on intamin coasters is pretty restrictive for taller people and heavier people. Honestly you don't even notice the over the shoulders on this ride.
@JakeAlexander23 I grew up with this XD this was my first kingda ka video. back in 2005 i started begging to be able to go there and june 2006 i got there :D ledgendary ride
The only real reason TTD is better than KK is because more people are in love with CP than the Six Flags chain now don't get me wrong I think CP is a pretty good park (even though I've never been there) I prefer Six Flags over it because the coasters at MM in my own opinion are way more fun and I also absolutley loved TATSU when I went onto it last year.
Of course you still have to take into account ride management, ride ops, food, etc. which could influence one's idea about the park but if you're basing it solely on rides and their quality between 2 amazing parks then these arguments will go on forever.
@tff1293 it would not make that much of a difference. Yes there is a new ride and its stand up and everyone would love to get on it, but is going to open on a Wednesday and people work .
I want to ride this SO BAD! But I live in California, and I don't think I'm planning on going to New Jersey any time soon. lol Next time I'm there, I'll make sure I go on it.
this ride is super awesome. i went and it only took maybe an hour and a half to get on. i got on three times in one trip!!!! the ride is totally amazing and worth waiting, but not more then 2 hrs.
Stealth is the exact same as Xcelerator at Knott's only mirrored and doesn't have the overbanked turns and it has the KK restraints and not the TTD restraints like Xcelerator does.
considering taking a trip next year for graduation of college. It would be the perfect gift I think, what better way to celebreate then the tallest and faster coaster Id proboly ever ride in my whole life
Actually dude... Kingda Ka is made from the SAME makers of the Top Thrill Dragster.. the makers just wanted to make a taller faster coaster with a hill... apparently they like LIM coasters a lot so they decided to make another one. So it wasn't really copying.. :)
i just read ur comment and i wanted to know if u meant six flags the company or six flags great avdenture because it seems to me that great adventures has come up with a few of their own ideas, dont get me wrong but seriously top thrill dragster and kingda ka were built by the same company just a couple of years off and its kind of impossible for a company to steal 1 of their own creations im just saying.
Well technically there's more than one Cedar Point because it's owned by Cedar Fair so let's see it would be as much as the Six Flags chain (obviously) but I think Cedar Fair owns 11 parks right now and spread throughout those parks there's about 116 (if you include the racing coasters other track) coasters spread throughout all of them which is pretty good but I heard a rumor that sicne CF has bought the Paramount parks they're trying to close them down so people will come to CP instead.
eh, idk I think Thrill Dragster looks more "awesome" cause you only have lap bars, and tht adds so much to the "fear factor" it's only shorter by a bit and besides, you can't tell once ur on the ride
i seriously think ttd is better. i mean, 8mph and 18 ft (drop) really wont feel much different. now the camel hump gives a significent amount of airtime, but kingda ka was a str8 up waste of money. if anything, they shoulda reached for 500 ft. and ttd has a lot better theming. kingda ka's 270 degree twist is very shakey. ttd's is smooth. one last thing. THE RESTRAINTS ON KK SUCK!!!. they hurt my head so bad!!!! on ttd, u get so much more freedom and ur just as safe
believe me - it's the best rolercoaster on earth at the moment. this one is just insane... much better than any shit here in europe.. heide park.. get one pliz =)
this coaster is the most intense ride i have ever had Everyone should ride this at least once in there life TIP get on the park when it first opens and go directly to kingda ka(not weekends)only 18 minute wait
dude i heard that all of the amusment corps resent the day they made these rides. I heard if they made a different way to launch it, it would've coster them less in perspective
the only problem is that about 55% of Americans are not able to ride it because the seatbelt is so short only skinny people can go onto it and the max height for that ride is 6'2" there's a lot of people in America that are taller than 6'2" the height restriction on KK is 6'5" it's not much difference but it means another 20,000 people would be able to ride KK.
Anddd as far as service goes, overall friendliness and park management goes, CF wins. Besides, who wants OTSR's while theyre riding an intamin strata? Btw, Magic Mountain is my home park so don't think I haven't been there before or even tried them out.
If you can say that KK sucks because it's just TTD with a second hill, I can just as easily say that TTD sucks because it's just KK WITHOUT the second hill.
its actualy not that bad, the luanch is the only scarry part, the drop is a since seeing as what kinda straps they use, and me, im a fraid of hights but ill ride when i go the 29 of July. and i HATE hights but im dying to ride this. trust me its not that bad, i say try it.
Will six flags be crowded on the 25th (wed) or the 26th (thurs) of may? It wasnt last year, but Green Lantern opens on the 25. Will it make a difference? Thanks!
