@@luxato5789true, although that's not really special - given what they are going to give you, it's not difficult to have better gear even while doing only the main quest...
That's the biggest thing the first game lacked. I gave a very one sided beating to Sir Bernard on our first bout in the arena and he still just said I wasn't a complete failure.
The dialog does change depending on how well you do against him, but yeah, it only goes from "It's really going to be hard to train you" to "Hey, not bad"

@@LowdianI feel like that fits the slight ego thing, soldiers and knights were more prestigious than peasants their power and influence relied in no small part to them being superior physically to your average person, if they can do it it’s a threat to their power. That’s a very deep look at it and I’m high asl rn but I definitely get a vibe at the start he wants you to be bad and wouldn’t admit you were good, also like it’s normal to expect neither would be going full pelt especially not a master like H in training
bernard and capon are real pricks in the beginning, he would never admit to being beaten by a peasant. seems like being high gave you advantage on insight checks ;)
@@CIvan03 There have been accounts where commoners become knights although rare yes, and all of them being you have to do something for the lord or monarch in order to be taken into their service. So it checks out, although in this case Razing owed Hernys Step dad for taking care and hid the identity of his bastard kid.
Warhorse put a lot of effort into the story aspect of their cutscenes which are balance between cinematic and during game play which are starkly different also. In KCD no matter what Armour I wore certain cutscenes were already tailored to present a certain way. So, I would not suspect much dialogue change from what is scripted for those moviesque production level cutscenes, and neither can I imagine much reaction other than within regular gameplay. BG3 technically only had one major cinematic cutscene at the beginning of the game, and every other was 'in game' per say. But I did love how the world reacted to your actions and decisions, and KCD1 has a fair amount of that too with the world reacting to your appearance in game. Not to mention this is Warhorse very first game.
Tbf 99% of people that play don't max out before going to Sir Radzig, not only because overgrinding is boring, but it also takes away the sense of progression from the game
The Game ignores quite a few Things. You still get Pebbles even If you already have one. Nightingale tried to prevent me from entering Rattay within the City and Guards tried it while I was leaving.
It's awesome that 'Garden Gaming' actually found it, 5 years after the game was released! But the ring itself is not that great, 2 or 3 points down in Vis/Con, that's all.
Love watching this scene after finishing the game. When Radzig talks about Henry's mother it makes so much sense now, and his lack of anger and willingness to accept Henry into his service for his father. Just really ties a bow on everything.
After my fifth or sixth playthrough (maybe), I started doing the side quests first. Which is fairly easy to do: start with Peshek's quest, which sends you to Kohelnitz; Woyzeck sends you to Talmberg, then Stephanie and Divish send you on quests to Uzhitz and Sasau... by the time you get back to Rattay you're at least level 10 in everything and have the best armor. You don't learn how to properly defend yourself or learn combos or master strikes until you see Bernard, but you can still get the better of most of the lower to lower mid-level bandits.
yeah without perfect counter/perfect block, you'll be playing in hard mode, have to faint attacks a lot in order to hit, some Enemies were even doing perfect blocks and dodging my attacks, they be having ultra instinct. happened to me in my first playthrough, in the second one I went straight to Bernard to get training and did side quest after that, learned my lesson.
Radzig taking both sides of the argument while trying to understand yet keep Henry safe is cool to me and really good writing. He tell Henry how he’s lost a whole bunch of stuff but why need a sword? Well it’s for a promise, and he knows Henry is driven enough to go into danger for that already so, “I understand and I’d feel the same way.” He wants Henry to be prudent not headstrong, but when Mr fat man says he’s a fool Radzig immediately turns around and goes “he’s no fool” as simple as going “nah that’s too much”.
hey theirs a build id like you to make a video of i call it the common traveling knight build the weapons are Merchant's sword Capon's hunting bow hunting arrow's torch and a dagger ,Armor is Bianca's ring chainmail common bascinet common plate chausses the one with the boots you can get them at sasau composite gauntlets cuirass light tarred jacket mail collar necklace old plate pauldrons padded chausses padded coif patched hose and plain riding spurs this is my first commet as a viewer of youtube
yeah, I did expect that, but thanks for testing it - always worth knowing - but it annoys me in this game where the cut scenes change up your sword or your armor HAAAATE that, also how it takes your helmet off, I usually switch my helmet off and put a chainmail neckpiece on before cut scenes for that exact reason hahah - I also did my last playthrough using only the Merchant's sword so it'd be consistent.
I always do the thieving stuff and the various crime quests before going up to Rattay and usually end up with a ton of high level gear and Groschen. It makes more sense for the story since going off and committing petty crimes while working as a man-at-arms for Sir Radzig just feels silly and immersion breaking to me.
Given how narrative the first game is (as it obviously strongly follows a story with certain expectations etc) I'm interested to see how they'll handle levelling up in the second game, since you're already meant to be quite competent, it being a sequel and everything. The first game makes sense: You're a peasant who knows absolutely sweet FA but in the second game? Not sure what's going to cut it.
1. henry gets hurt and need to retrain. 2. Just because you are the best at "football" (or swordfighting) in some rural part of a country do not mean that you are actually that great at it when you try play it at the national level. That is the two explanation the dev have given...
i think Witcher 3 is a perfect example of how to do alt dialogue or story change stuff. So many little details if you fail a quest stuff changes or if you have this or that item. Both series should feed off of each other for sure.
“ If there’s anything left to bury! That plump carcass of yours would be quite a feast for the wolves and the crows. “ Sir Hanush. Henry on the inside be like: you should look at yourself mate!
First playthrough i was stuck in the prologue until the game finished downloading...i maxed out herbalist before the attack and was fleeing the cumans with my saddlebags abuldging
How did you max out your defence without training with Captain Bernard first? I have been trying do the max out all skills thing to but my defence is not moving at all.
If you played KCD the way it's supposed to, I'd say you can max out combat very quickly. If your main goal is to "cheese" stuff and to completely break character, maybe an immersive RPG is not for you?
i did that in one playthrough. played main quest until you need to go hunting before you get a horse. and then did everything else possible. came back to hunt with my own horse so the dude was surprised i have my horse because he usually says to run besides him while he rides a horse.
Why are you playing standard mode aka god mode aka easy mode. It clearly states hardcore is for players who are familiar with the game. You should be playing hc with all starting perks.
@@said_aliev I have more fun on hardcore because standard is so easy that it's boring as fuck. "Hardcore" is way too exaggerated. I would call Standard mode = Very Easy and Hardcore = Normal.
@@Airinas96 not for me, the easier difficulty level is better. The game is already quite challenging at first when you aren’t familiar with the game. Maybe when I finish the game I’ll understand better what you’re saying but so far. I’d say the easier settings are not at all boring. Not yet anyway.
@@MannysVisionStudioFor beginners yes but this guy has been playing for thousands of hours and makes “challenge” videos so why not play hardcore mode if he want a challenge it’s cringe and makes his videos boring to watch just because of that.
why would you fake it and pretend that its all legit lol, you have plenty unobtainable items and maxed out the houndsmaster skill without having a dog??? kinda a weird thing to do
