Kingdom Hearts 3 - Centurion Trophy Guide / Achievement Guide - Score at least 12,000,000 pts. in Verum Rex: Beat of Lead. {Bronze]
World: Toy Box / Area: Galaxy Toys Main Floor 3F
You can only play this minigame after having beaten the Toy Box world for the first time. Then you can fast travel back to this world and go to “Galaxy Toys Main Floor 3F” fast travel point. Go inside the Game Store (the one that has number 999999 on the wall). At the end of the store, in the very center, you can interact with a big game controller. It will have a green highlight on it when you get close and you can press :triangle: to interact. During your first Toy Box playthrough you will already have played Verum Rex in the video game store, but it didn’t give you a score. Only when replaying this world you can earn a highscore and get this trophy.
Strategy: The key to getting 12 million points is to build up one continuous multiplier streak without ever losing it, until the last boss at least. Also use lots of explosive oil tanks to kill enemies as it gives huge “trap kill” and “simultaneous kill” bonuses at the end that net you an extra 2 million points or so.
When the match starts, get in the blue Gigas (robot) before you. However, we don’t actually want this blue Gigas. The purple one is much better, its cannon shoots twice as fast. So, boost jump to the left side of the arena in front of you, there’s a purple Gigas (robot) there. Get into that one, it kills enemies much quicker. Now the key is to kill all enemies in quick succession without losing the multiplier. Stick to the left side of the arena where a ramp goes up. There are two explosive oil tanks close together. One is at the bottom of the ramp and one a little bit up the ramp. You should make good use of these! Whenever an enemy is near an oil tank, shoot the tank! These kills give you huge bonus points at the end. It’s also a great way to keep up your multiplier streak and score simultaneous kills. Keep in mind your cannon shots are flying slowly, but just 1 hit is enough to blow up the oil tanks. So just fire a few lasers in the direction of the oil tank when an enemy is there and immediately refocus your fire on another enemy. This way your shots will blow up the oil tank after a few seconds but you can already focus on other enemies in the meantime.
Like all minigames it takes a bit of practice. I was able to get close almost 16 million points on my third attempt. You also receive a time bonus at the end that should be worth over 1 million points.

Here's how I got 12 mil after trying for about an hour: Stay in the same giggas at the beginning and go around the glass part, kill all them. Head straight and hit the bomb and kill all th eones around there. Jump down. Break the glass and focus on group kills and the bombs and keeping the glass broke. Whne the boss comes I stayed as far away as I could and blew up the bombs and activated the zappy thinggy and hopped for the best.

this is the way, took me about 5 tries. on the second wave, make sure to save some easy enemies so you're not only left with a few spread out silver enemies which might take too long kill before your chain resets

Thank you so much for this guide. Just a heads up to everyone attempting this; at long as you have 600~700k points before the final boss and you get all the bonuses you should be fine. My chain broke and I brought it back up to around 13 and finished with 13,000,000 points.

The update fixed the verum rex point bonuses. You can't chain to get 12 million points anymore. This guide is outdated and needs amending. Edit: 12 mil chain is achievable, however not the way shown in this video. You need to get group kills with traps with about 90% of enemies. I was able to get 15 mil as my final score.

Managed to get this trophy after a few attempts. Best method that worked for me was to fly over to the purple Gigas like in the video, but shoot the glass barrier as i flew over to start off on a good combo. Then i led the gigas to the explosives and kept my counter up as i shot individual ones to not lose my combo. Ended up with a combo count of 25.5 and a score of 14497219 at the end. Hope this helps!

You get a pretty big bonus for beating it with only one gigas, so if you want the purple, instead of starting with the blue just jump off the cliff to your left

This is a great video but I reccomend picking up the giga and sticking with it rather than switching gigas, if you're not on about the time bonus go as sora to your giga of choice but the blue one worked just fine. I lost my streak early on in the match since enemys spawn above you when youre on the ground center but I still managed to get just over 15,000,000 thanks to the extra 2,000,000 you get for staying in the blue giga I picked up. The ground is an excellent place to make a stand, plenty of traps but move fast as soon as that second wave hits or you'll loose your streak with all the enemies above you.

I cant seem to pass the 8.9 mil mark lol I'm using all traps and clearing so fast Edit: after about 10 more tries I got 15 mil. Now I'm not gonna guarantee anything but when the prime gigs start coming there is a little mini prime one that is tougher than the rest. Try avoiding killing him and the others keep spawning and rack up some points then kill him. IDK if it's a coincidence or not tho or injust got lucky. Try this hopefully this helps

I finally did it after several tries. I used the chain method even though it is nerfed. After you hit a chain of 20 and as long as you have been trap killing, your score shoots in the air. I got 19 million. Got a video of it on my channel.

damn dude this is all I had to do for the trophy? I did it the brutal way lol I got every bonus (besides ride em all, you can't get that and solo rider at the same time) and beat the boss taking no damage chaining blasters traps and punches it was pretty tough but nice to see theres an easier way out there to help others who are struggling

You can achieve the same results with the Gigas that you start with.....All that is required is for you to be aggressive. Also starting out with destroying the mechs on the bridge is a much faster way to rack up a score streak. Just keep the pressure from there on and this challenge should be relatively easy.

Just don’t lose that score multiplier always kill atleast one of the robots asap. If there is no trap nearby, just fire at a robot to keep the multiplier alive and keep killing dont let the multiplier go. If you have atleast 6m points when you reach the boss you’ll get 12m easy.

I did this after a few tries and i don't even know what happened, my + score went from like 1 mill to 12 mill in that second phase in seconds. Maybe the tiny one died to a trap at the perfect moment? I kept looking at my score in disbelief thinking that wasn't really over 12 mill, that i was miss counting the digits lol. Ended up with a score of over 19 mill.

This method did not work for me but another trick I used to get the trophy was to just use the gigas you get at the start of the mini game and then you just cycle through all the upper levels wherever there is a fuel tank so you can get group kills and I run and gun'd any of the gigas that came in my way. I didn't bother with the trap in the middle of the stage and the glass, it was too annoying for me.

@@imhappysavage5059 use the blue gigas that has explosives. Start from the bottom of the map, climb up to the higher levels, killing mechas along the way without dropping the chain. You need to be quick and aggressive. Just keep going in circles, use the big tanks to get more bigger kill bonus. Rinse, repeat. Most enemies spawn in a group around the fuel tanks on the upper levels, that's why I advise just going from 1 spawn point to the next, if you run out if enemies up top, go back down to the bottom, kill the gigas down there to spawn more back up on top and just keep at it without losing the multiplier bonus. There's some weight to this. Wasting time to shoot the trap in middle can cost you your chain. Cycling through the upper levels is also a waste of time. If you try to do a lap around the course you will lose your change. IMO. Step one. Use the Gigas in front of you. You need a good time bonus so don't waste time trying to get to the purple one. Step 2: Charge the center being careful not to destroy the trap. You want to get a chain going and they are the immediate spawn. Step 3: Directly north there is a group of red gigas. they spawn weirdly depending on your timing but they are right next to a tanker to get bonuses Step 4: Directly to the right from the center a group of blue gigas will spawn on the upper level. You can snipe the tanker from where you are. Step 5: Around this time immediately to your left from where those red gigas were purple gigas will spawn. This is right next to the ramp leading to lower level. You can snipe the tanker. Step 6. Around this time you should have triggered another center spawn. All hell is breaking lose since this isn't an exact science but by this point you can employ the yolo aggression strategy. Everyone's advice seems...pulled from their butt with no consistency but at least at this point you can listen to them. Your chain should be plenty high. The only other advice is to priorities smaller gigas as they die quicker. If you need to prolong your chain and feel it will die try to target one these immediately. And remember to attack tankers whenever possible. A long snipe is important. Don't be afraid to take the time to line up a shot - just try to be quick about it to get back to maintaining your chain. It's not an exact science but if I had to throw in a Step 7: By the time the primes spawn being at the bottom is fine. primes are aggressive and you can maintain defensive shooting with the tankers below. And finally STEP 8. Maintain your starting gigas as best you can. It's hard depending on how unlucky you are but you're given a bonus simply for surviving with the original gigas. Additionally try priorities your time. The time bonus is somewhat important. If you're scratching 3.30 on this you're probably a bit slow. Killing the golden gigas is faster with tankers and traps. Good luck

Same here, it was easy with the blue one and just cycle through the upper levels and also breaking the crystal from the middle to electrocute every enemy there, also for the final machine I let him be electrocuted as well.

If you stay in the same Gigas all game and either survive, or beat the boss on foot if your first Gigas gets destroyed will net you a 2M pts bonus score at the end. Alternatively you get 1.5M bonus pts for using all different types in one game. I recommend just doing it with the very first Gigas you start near; as long as you can keep up the chain and use your environment to your advantage until the boss spawns, you should get it. As long as you hit 9 or 10M or so by the end, your time bonus and the "only use one Gigas" bonus will bump you to over 12M.

Jump down left there is a purple bot there, get in it and stay on the left, blow up bombs as they respawn pretty fast and shoot the glass when the circle underneath the center is glowing purple. you got about 10 seconds in between killing enemies to continue the chainbonus. I got 12 million in two tries.

Honestly with the way they touched up this where you can't chain so easily, I was starting to get pissed off with how it demands seemingly too much. Then after a few tries I just barely got it at 12.7 million. With that, my last achievement has been collected with KH3 and I now turn my attention to the games coming in February. ^__^

Using this strategy I managed to get 17,2 milion pts in about 5 attempts without breaking combo. This would not be possible without these things I did: 1. Use the starting blue robot, for a single robot bonus. 2. Try to keep the glass floor shattered at all times, it gives U a very good trap bonus & more enemies to keep the combo up. 3 DONT concentrate on the 2nd wave silver robots, farm the normals with silvers in between for a greater multipliyer. 4. Get a bonus for not geting hit by the final boss, it's very easy if you just keep your distance while spraying him.

Master of arms (not getting hit by boss) net your 3mil, so back pedal through the zap trap as he walks at you and detonate tanks when he is near it and he wont even teleport/shoot. Good luck

This helped a lot, thanks! But you can also drop down to the left of the start where there is a purple bot too. This way you don't have to change bots which will also net you a bonus of 2 million points for doing it with a single gigas.

There's since been an update that nerfed the chain bonus pretty hard. I was able to get 14.97 million yesterday during my stream. Clipped it and posted it on my YT channel here if anyone is having trouble. It's not impossible, it's just more challenging!

I don't even want to get 100% in this game, I mean seriously mini games in a Kingdom Hearts game should not be 1/3rd of the trophies. I got the Ultima weapon and am at level 99 and the post game content is non existent.

Stay with your original gigas, set off as many traps as possible, especially the zap and tanks on the micro gigas (contradictory, but hey) he is worth a lot. The the bonus for not getting hit by the boss is 3 mil in itself, so if you can stay at max distance and back pedal around the edge of the zap trap, set it off and have him walk through it to maximize damage, he wont even shoot at you, let alone teleport. Hope that helps

so they patch "fixed" keeping the chain going. but they won't fix other broken parts of the game or even fix the garbage story? they have to patch a fix for these terrible minigames that mean nothing.

This minigame is so annoying, and the latest example of Kingdom Hearts trying to be what it isn't (a rhythm game, a board game, etc.) solely based on Nomura's whims. And then there are Square's jerks putting a ridiculously high score on your way to the platinum, like "You thought you could skip this? HELL NO! We implemented this half assed feature and we will FORCE you to explore it to exhaustion if you want that trophy!"
