I have no idea why but the "Welcome Oblivion" voiceline from Riku-Ansem always gives me chills. Such an iconic KH1 fight and this just made it all the more amazing.
@@monokomomo4977 fr this these boss battles in Hollow Bastion made me go back to Olympus to grind for levels and by the end of the game I blitz through the final few bosses thinking they would be harder
"Forget it! There's no way you're getting Kairi's heart!" The two warriors then took a moment to eat the shrinking cake from Alice in Wonderland before they started killing each other with giant keys.
KH1 is so god damn amazing, it deserves so much more love in the series. These KH3 mods of KH1 fights are beautiful homages. It’s especially thoughtful to include the cutscene right before and right after the fight. Iconic in every possible way
It's definitely great, but it's rough around the edges. Completely understandable - it WAS the first. Hard to nail everything just right. KH 1 with a modern functional guard and dodge roll like in here would be worlds better.
...it's so weird not hearing ONE MORE. But I guess open your heart to darkness works too.. I seriously hope somebody makes a Billy Zane voice pack soon, with some of ansems old attacks
this brings back so many great memories. easily the best fight of KH1! and what a love story between Sora and Kairi - Sora literally cut his own heart out so Kairi can live. if that's not true love, I don't know what is.
Only that it really wasn't clear what was happening because of the way KH's lore mumbo jumbo explains things. Hell, I didn't even know that meant "ohhhh he so he dies?" 🤔 so it really loses people on the uhhh supposed-to-be-emotional shit
really cool, just, not trying to copy and all but how can i battle (in a sense, be i guess) like you at the game? kinda cheese saying it like this, but how can i be a keyblade master in the game? im pretty average i would say, so i want to improve and doing data battles without damage while at the same time being cool asf, thanks for answering
It's kinda hard for me to explain since it's just muscle memory at this point but I'll try. I mostly practiced the bosses back on the ps4 version at level 99 in my free time and that carried over to here. Once I was able to no damage my favorite data fights at that level, I used a level 50 save to recognize even more of their patterns and get used to longer fights. All in all, it's just loads of practice and recognition!
@@quoy4 i see, so in a sense what you’re saying is, just fight a lot against them (in this situation data battles) until you learn their moves when to guard etc.. I see, thanks a lot man, really appreciated
Nah, it's just that most moveset mods are kinda busted. KH1 Sora was nowhere near as fast as this. They just grabbed the animations and cranked it up tenfold for cool factor, you can even see the moves hitting despite the animation not connecting at times.
This is clearlly the best Sora KH1 battle quote mod. Mostly because this is the only one who don't have quotes when Sora jump or dodge (like original Sora in KH1) Just a wonderful gameplay quoy ❤️
Good stuff. Even though this wasn't at Level 1, I'm impressed. I agree that this is one of the crazier data fights, so even I had to find a method to make it not so crazy. Keep up the good work 👍
While this obviously looks stunning, i feel like some of the moves shouldnt connect. Was it intentional that Soras hitbox on most moves is bigger than the animation would suggest?
Just imagine if Kingdom Hearts 1 had drive forms or Formchanges and keyblade transformations like KH2 and KH3 had… Kingdom Hearts 1 was a game ahead of it’s time because even back in 2002 it was a fantastic action packed game unlike any other PlayStation game but mods are the best thing that ever happened to kingdom hearts… In between new kingdom hearts it gives us a new game inside of the same game if you get what I’m saying… So it gives us room to move around a little bit and have fun with new and refreshing additions rather than playing the same old game time and time again…
One thing I noticed about a lot of these games is, they have artificial difficulty like a mf and to me when I see that, it’s clear sign of the developer’s not having confidence in the game or admitting the players are too good like I want to sit there and spam moves unlimited aaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllll day with out never running out of power and have armor on all my shit unless you hit me just in time honestly it’s all starting to get annoying. The only games I know that don’t have this type of shit are some ninja games and viewtiful joe as when you fight other joe you can do all the same things he can and his shit don’t last for ever
@@laststrike4411 I mentioned it in my earlier comment that in particular kingdom hearts, they sit there spamming moves over and over and over and over and over and over and over again because what ever they are using to activate them moves is unlimited and them take your character sora you can’t use magic unlimited you use fire 3 4 times then you have to wait for your magic to replenish and on top of that we don’t have armor when we attack like if we get attacked and the attack connects sora flinches but if you do the same to what ever boss you fight they will power through it unless you hit them at the right time. All that is to make the fight more difficult aka artificial difficulty
@@ericblackwell70 lol what? The default is not "equal resources" on both sides. Hell, even if we gave the computer equal characters it won't experience mental fatigue or have memories of previous fights like you. Is that artificial difficulty/handicapping? The challange of kh has always been "avoid attack damage and attack enemies when they are vulnerable." Designing bosses with shorter windows and spammy attacks is not artificial difficulty, it's literally execution of the hack and slash genre and specifically kh. Sometimes and more often recently they've been poorly designed but it isn't artificial difficulty.
@@RedCornix yea it is, giving the computer moves I can’t do and unlimited anything is artificial difficulty idgaf what the computer remember from previous fights, they sure remember all my moves and know when to attack so again it is what it is
@@ericblackwell70 how are you this dumb? Seriously, i'm just impressed at this point. You've literally defined all game design outside of non-superboss fighting games as "artificial difficulty."
This Sora modded moveset is as smooth as butter, looks incredibly fun and technical at the same time. Dude should work as a animator designer for KH4 for real.
