@@soul6733 the Guns feel like your shooting paper airplanes, the bazooka feels clumsy, The Drill is just Odd to be in the game, the Claws are Redundant as they're just less useful versions of the yo-yo/Skates, the Yo-Yo's are actually great, and the Ultima weapon is even greater. I think Sora shoulda gotten at least one Vehicle transformation like terra, Aqua and Ventus. Because they have some cool ideas behind their Transformations. Ventus throws his keyboard at enemies, Terra game enemies with his Bike, and Aqua Uses... whatever it's called, as a Bow and Arrow which I find to be awesome on its own right. Or would you really rather the Safty Drill or the Flag?
@Dominic Docherty I mean not to mention DMC again but In 5 one of Dante’s devil arms is actually a bike that splits into to hammer axe thingies then merges back into a bike during combos
Old players know that items like Panacea are essentially useless if you know what you're doing, so we never bothered to use them, and thus we havent seen what they look like

I respectfully disagree your awesome comment. DMC & Bayonetta are just action games with great mechanical depth. For example, you wouldn't separate FPS games that you can shoot through walls in & the ones you can't. You accept this mechanical depth as what makes those games different from the rest of its genre. Mechanics like Enemy Step would've made the combat in some of my favorite action games, Like Darksiders, even better. But since DMC & Bayonetta are part of a made up genre, no one will actually consider putting in mechanics that objectively improve your combat in to the rest of action games.

" no, but we do separate shooter games based on the camera angle devs choose, which nowadays could be seemlessly switched between. big point of the action debate is to separate out the "Dynasty warrior" archetype of games from the God of Wars. Not to proclaim DMC as superior of something. Genres are made to help people find media they like. And at some point it became clear that people wanting to cleave waves of mobs were different from those who wanted to perform carefully constructed combo chains on some enemies with bite to them. Which is different from people who want a couch co-op side scroller.
Honestly I really hope Kingdom hearts goes down the path of spectacle fighters, honestly seemless combos and magic combined would make a game that looks amazing, imagine all the jumping around like in DDD with all the free form combat would be awesome!
This is literally the same ability as jump cancel in DMC, and I freaking love it. The ONLY thing missing from this game is a damn style ranking system. Deadly! Crazy! Brutal! Amazing! Spectacular! Sensational! Stylish!
The style system should be Disney themed. Imagine how dope that would be! Goofy! Lucky! Incredible! Amazing! Magical! Enlightening! Heartwarming! MARVELOUS!!!!
Let's just hope future kingdom hearts just has this switch speed without the need of a secret method. And let's pray to God that if it doesn't, they don't take this out!
Even if KB switching was this fast normally, the fact that this acts as a combo reset is what blew my mind. Totally unnecessary to do in game, but it looks sooooooo good.
You know kh2 combat used to be my favourite in the series, the reason because I love the session limit so much. Now thanks to this video I can say kh3 holds that title. It’s definitely in my top 10 favourite games now
I doubt it, this depends on you having potions or panacea in this case, and you can carry a limited number of them during a fight (8 or 12, I dont remember)

This is a great video, but on 1:32 I think it was cutoff to show DMC4 of Dante vs Berial instead of Sora. Idk, keep up the sweet new tech. Can't wait to use this new tech against limit-cut bosses.
This shouldn't be removed honestly I think its a fantastic find @Trueblade Seeker. It should be in the game naturally or at the very most, made a little bit slower but KH3 always had potential with keyblade swapping and some people have been figuring it out but it usually goes back to magic or finisher animation loops and THAT gets kinda stale fast. This cancel feat literally gives Sora 3 styles like in DMC and the freedom for players to experiment with all the keyblades! Amazing find definitely going to try this out later
I didn’t know they added this in DMCVSE. A new character with jukebox option to pick what song you want to play for the whole mission. Nice! 😂😂great video dude! You never disappoint.
I would ask “why can’t it just be like this normally” but you would pretty much have endless combos with little to no effort so uhh yeah lol well, then again if it JUST swapped quicker in general it wouldn’t have to reset your combos so actually... don’t quite get why it can’t be quicker tbh 🤔
If they kept the speed but didn't have it reset your combo it would be perfectly balanced in terms of fun and skill. A player would have to consider which attacks in a transformation really work within a greater combo. Enemies could also be buffed in future games on higher difficulties so that they can keep up with this stuff if they decide to make this an international mechanic in a future KH game.
@@z-v-x8324 if you wanna be technical then KH2 kinda does have some inerta since moves and movement abilities carry momentum. Like going from Aireal dodge to glide can seriously cover some ground

Damn, square is getting very DMC lately. This, and FF16 straight up having a DMC5 combat developer working on it. I mean, the combat looks like it is almost straight up DMC5 combat based on the trailer. Can't say I mind.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but is he using an item and canceling that to make the swap faster? or is it actually consuming the item quickly mid combo that resets it?
