The reason you need a Summon for Xemnas cheese isn't your party members, its because while a Summon is active, Xemnas refuses to use his command lock attacks, which simplifies his AI to enable the loop
@@tiggy4591 my fav is the Traverse town when you first arrive. My buddy wanted to jump over the dude when he first got there, and softlocked himself. And I was genuinely surprised that was even possible
@@karlwhitney1788I know it's been a few months but basically. Think of the alphabet. Every letter has a specific place. That it goes in. A is 1st, Z is 26th. What a sequence break would be going from A to N to Z, with no other stops in between. Or directly A to Z
@@TimothyGodOh, yeah, that's a thing. You use a box to jump onto the item shop roof, then use the momentum from sliding down the roof to jump across to the accessory shop roof. It's just barely possible. But then, as you note, if you go into the second district without watching the cutscene in front of the accessory shop, it soft locks because the heartless never spawn.
Pretty sure the barrels blocking the upper part of Monstro's mouth leading to the 2nd Parasite Cage fight are there so that if you've done Neverland first and then return you can't Glide across to bypass the first fight or Riku cutscenes. The cutscenes actually change if you've completed Hollow Bastion first and then encounter Riku in Monstro because the context changes now that Ansem has possessed his body.
I think I read somewhere on the wiki that at somepoint during the development, Bahamut might have been planned to be in the game, but the idea was repurposed into someone else (Mushu i think?) and the command became unused. You can get that command by cheatcodes/hacking the game, which seems to be what was used in this vid, but (as you can see) using it immediately crashes the game.
@@baomai1411 ah thats why.. I didnt like the card system.. I played it when it first came.. But didnt replay it recently cz the card system is super annoying to play on smartphone..
@@baomai1411yeah I had the original Kingdom Hearts on the PS2 and you could unlock Bahamut through the use of a codebreaker or GameShark but even then it would still crash the game
The Atlantica sequence break can softlock the entire game if done at a specific moment. If you do the skip while Ariel is not in your party, the game will softlock because you won't be able to continue the story to get Ariel back, the save points will be deactivated and the Triton cutscene won't have Ariel on it and the game will just stop functioning. I had this happen to me when I tried this and had to start from the beginning. zzzzz
Not really, the generic enemy code should just include stop. Only makes sense if stop wasn't included early in development and they didn't have a base "class" that they could update to include stop. It screams poor programming
@@richardbrooksshnee Or it's to prevent softlocks in the event a player sequence breaks and somehow gets Stop early. Like imagine casting stop on Trickmaster when it's interacting with the environment like the table/chair and it breaks them into never spawning back the rest of the battle.
This is the first time I heard someone refer to the secret boss as Xemnas and despite knowing that, I just now realized: Sora fights Xemnas in all three main games Also his reaction to Goofy destroying everything with Goofy Tornado sums up half of my Chain of Memories experience
Just the other day I beat Pot Scorpion in like 30 seconds. I swear I don’t know what I did differently this time, because that boss is always a piece of shit on every play through.
About that damage ceiling thing, almost all enemies in the game have that. Most regular heartless will take 2 or 3 normal hits to kill, even if you somehow had 15 million strength. Although, it doesn't seem to be the case for magic. That would oneshot all normal enemies with enough MP. Hacking to 255 MP even shows that bosses lose a bar or two of HP per gravity spell. Although, this is for the OG version. I'm not sure if Final Mix goes by the same rules.
You can actually increase the damage ceiling, but only for magic. If you go for the max MP hackable which is 256 mp, you can damage a certain super boss really fast with a certain magic.
Around 18:40 - gravity sometimes pushes anti-Sora a bit too far underground and causes the screen to go black, and softlocks the game. Happened to me the other day
0:28 iirc Sora's max hp is 114 and max mp is 19, this is at level 100 with the +2 max mp from dream rod, +3 MP from Diamond Dust and 3 Cosmic Arts equipped, both hp and mp will line up instead of one bar being longer then the other
Ok who those wondering why Bahamut is there in the summons He was a planned summon for KH1 but was scrapped sometime late in development before release since he technically remains in the code as you can readd him but as shown it crashes the game
Also, the bars stop extending when you hit 120 HP and 20 MP.... But old codebreaker codes for the OG version allowed you to have 255 HP and 255 MP, with the 255 MP causing summons to crash instantly cause they had TOO MUCH of a bar.... But given damage and time for summons is tied to Max MP anyway.... that's probably why it crashes
This is so funny, I used to use GameShark back in the day, and this is exactly what would happen lol. My favorite was to use Stop magic, and it would freeze bosses for MINUTES! I would hit the hell out of them, and when they would eventually unfreeze, they'd take all the hits and damage given lol.
2:56 amateurs, my brother 100 percented kh1 at 5 years old. he beat ansem, one tried sepihroth and collected all the dalmations and trinity stamps while most kids in 2002 were stuck on riku ansem and i myself beat leon on my kh1 playthrough cuz im a pro epic gamurrrr
Xenoblade Chronicles Newgame+ kicked ass with all my characters levelled up, it was so good i did it again a third time, and got them all to max level, i wish all jrpg style games had a new game+ mode, but not like last story as that game was brutal, i basically got softlocked and couldn't complete it, as it scaled the bosses to the point where they were impossible to beat, it's a shame cause the base game was really good!
*SAY WHAT AGAIN NINTEN I DARE YA I DOUBLE DARE YA! SAY. WHAT. ONE. MORE. TIME.* I made it 20 minutes in that's enough for me dog. Also why the f is there a damage ceiling how lame :L
