This was a fun one to produce - thanks so much for watching! One quick clarification regarding the Black Fungus in Final Mix: it can drop rare items if it's defeated with a critical hit OR a combo finisher. This was updated in the international version of the game to make it slightly easier for players to earn these drops! 👑💙🍄
in the original JPN PS2 release, the Black Fungus will easily be defeated with a critical hit like from Sonic Blade as an example and it will drop a lot of Munny.
For Black Mushrooms you just need to stun them in order to get a critical hit on them. I use Strike Raid ability to stun them and then go for critical hit afterwards. I know there are other ways to do it but this was for me much easier to gather Mystery Goos.
i'd like to point out that the white mushroom, black fungus and rare truffle (Original and International releases) can be found in the End of the World.
While I definitely appreciate the guide, I gotta compliment the overall effort and editing put into the video. Like the map with COM Sora moving around. Just, such a nice touch.
I do remember that there is a setting in the game that made Donald and Goofy not attack the enemy you are attacking. So that was helpful in stopping them from hitting the Pink Agaricus.
First minute of the video made me feel really dumb. I did not know room reset was specifically moving 2 rooms away. When I did my 100% run of KH1 I spent a lot of time farming heartless for materials and whenever I needed a rare spawn mob and I didnt get it to spawn i moved one room away and came back. After 10-15 tries I left the world and came back and the heartless I was looking for spawned. Really wish I knew about that 2 room, reset rule. This would have also been helpful when I was farming for the white mushrooms for arts.
Me too I was just trying to do the pot scorpion in agrabah and I just went through the doorway back and forth, and nothing but I'd go up through Aladdins house and back and it'd spawn
White Mushrooms and Rare Truffles also appear in the final area right before Final Rest. White Mushrooms will use all the Magic charades though I don't recommend going there to get all the Magic Arts since they might not do 3 of the same act before despawning (it's a 1 in 7 chance he'll do the specific act compared to 1 in 4 elsewhere). Also I never knew that Sabor can break through the floor in the treehouse. I never went there unless for story reasons. I still learn new things even after all these years.
I didn't know there was a timed twist like that to releasing Ragnarok. I never use any of those limit break things. That's probably why I only made it to 85ish hits no matter how hard I tried
This video was very informative. Without it I wouldn’t know how to deal with Donald and Goofy getting the way. Not only that but there’s a slight chance you might hit the triangle button accidentally to command them to attack the mushrooms! So, the summons ideas look very useful. One thing I want to mention is that I didn’t get a Thunder Gem from casting the Thunder spell three times right when I was at the Camp in Deep Jungle. Keep in mind it was early in the game where I just recently learned Thunder from winning the preliminaries from The Coliseum. So, maybe I have to unlock the item synthesis shop first and then it’ll start appearing?
On PS3 all I had to do was summon Bambi inside the treehouse and when I dismissed him Donald and Goofy would respawn stuck somewhere (I think up a level on the outside). I would use Bambi to get my MP back and it just happened to fix the issue for me. When I redid it on PS4 I didn’t even know they didn’t attack on that version since they were never near it to be able to.
I've found that if you re-enter the synthesis menu by talking to the Moogle and exit that menu again, it will then give you the Encounter Plus ability (assuming you completed at least 15 recipes).
@@KHGuides Thanks. Does something like that work for the Olympus reward abilities, as well? I did the Phil cup with only Sora and never got Combo Plus.
Just now replaying this game since it came out the first time; room reset didn't seem to be working for me on my initial trip to Lotus Forest. I'm wondering if there is a minimum progression prerequisite, or, if one of my party members attacking negates the reset from being possible? I spent about 40 minutes resetting, both with rooms and with leaving the world, without a single white mushroom spawn. I wonder what the statistics are for that to happen naturally?
@@KHGuides Well, unfortunately I can't provide any real trial and error research, but after progressing the story a little bit (still only the first three worlds) they are (White Mushrooms) now spawning in Lotus Forest section without too many respawns necessary, maybe somewhere around 25-33% of the time. Regardless, I am curious to see what you end up posting about it!
High level and starting choice is the wand. If you choose wand you'll end the game with more MP than any other starting item (i believe its 3 more mp exactly). Any other stats like strength or defense or ap can be fixed with synthesizable items
