The Thirteen's death just broke my heart. I was expecting deaths to happen because it's war. But all of the 13??? I just bawled my eyes out 😭😭

I’m still so upset that Nox and Aelin never got their reunion. And that she never got to really meet Vaughan.

It's sad how no one remembers Mort.

The true hero of the Throne of Glass series was Fleetfoot. That dog lived through EVERYTHING. Seriously though this has been one of my favorite book series of all time and I'm going to dearly miss it. Shoutout to the Thirteen though, because I balled my eyes out when they died. (don't even get me started on the OG3 farewell...) May the squad live on forever. Lord Lorcan Lochan.

Honestly Gavriels death made me cry so much cause it’s like he was only fighting for his son and like he probably died thinking his son still hated him and that breaks my head like I’m literally DEAD. I also really didn’t like that Aelin and Dorian don’t have that much magic anymore, like Aelin barely has any fire magic now and that was just kinda disappointing to me.

The fact that Aelin didn't get to see Nox..... never will get over it tbh

I really wanted to have Aelin see Sam's ghost and smile when she sat on the throne

I couldnt hold back my tears when the three of them said their “Goodbyes” 😭 I mean the story started with Celaena, Chaol, and Dorian at Endovier, and now the series ended with the three of them 😭😭😭😭😭 I just can’t believe it’s the end 😭

Also, Lorcan was the one asking Elide to ask him the questions. She actually asked him to marry her. And he said MAYBE at first. Lol I loved this book

I agree with all your favorite scenes and I would add the scene of Manon calling all the witches and all of them pulling out their brooms and swords and flying off to war. That scene gave me goosebumps.

Literally just finished this and my eyes are so dry and red from crying. This book, that "13 scene" TOOK ME THE HELL OUT!!!😢😢. ALSO Aelin's coronation scene "walking on a new path, new home"😭😭😭😭 MY FREAKING HEART I LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF THIS BOOK AND IT WAS PERFECT! (More ppl shudve died tho) BUT IT WAS PERFECT GAAAAH!.

All the reunions in this book were the scenes that made me cry the most. In Empire of Storms and Queen of Shadows, everyone acted as if their past relationships had been for absolutely nothing. I was waiting so long for the Chaol, Celaena and Dorian let's embrace the past and still love each other moments/reunions and so wasn't disappointed! I wish Sarah had gone more into the past though, and brought up some cute, endearing but also hard memories they had with each other- that would've been the stabbing blow for me. Amazing review though! I couldn't have said it better, and you actually put all my feels into words, and not this agony and random ramblings I was yelling and sobbing at the end of the book! So thank you, haha xx 💞

The death of the thirteen killed me. Especially at them end where Glennis repeated the prophecy about the witches getting to go home. I cried and cried and cried.

Okay first off, THANK YOU for putting my thoughts and feelings into actual words because I sure as hell can't. But there are a few things I need to say before I curl up into a ball in the corner and cry: My soul died along with the Thirteen and my heart shattered into 12 distinct pieces and I don't think I'll ever be okay. Asterin was honestly one of my favourites in this whole series (no one appreciates her enough) and I AM RUINED forever now. I also surprisingly balled my eyes out at Gavriel's funeral thing when Aelin was talking. That shit was deep. Also, Aelin and Fenrys' new friendship is awesome and I love how much closer they are, even after all the shit Maeve put them through. And finally, DID YOU REALISE THAT RYHS ACTUALLY SAVED AELIN!?! If he hadn't slowed her down with his magic, she would have been falling too fast and would have missed her world completely! He fucking saved her guys wtf

The part where aedion throws Lysandra out of the tent with nothing but a cloak on and bare foot. Completely destroys me. Did no one else just cry?

I wish there were more books cause there’s so much still unsaid. Sarah J Maas said throne of glass is done for now but in the future I think there are going to be smaller books from the other characters. She said this is a recent interview on tour.

When Aelin said bye to chaol and Dorian in the end I cried it broke me

I just finished the book its 330am and I'm crying my eyes out. I am angry at the ending because Dorian and Manon story felt unfinished. I need more!! I need them married and more scenes of them. I feel like they didn't get enough time unlike the other couples.

I think I understand now why Sarah wanted Aelin's power to be depleted in the end of the book. It's a theory, but I think it's to show how Aelin didn't need magic, but determination and courage to defeat Maeve. Magic was never needed it was showing how Aelin had to fight and TRULY want the crown and fight for her people to win the battle. Even if she was an assassin she could have fought Maeve. It might also bring the story full circle that she is and will always be the chocloate loving classy assassin who bows to no one, but her family.

I’m so glad you did this spoiler review bc I finished the book yesterday also. Don’t forget when Elide and Lorcan also finally had sex when traveling north! I also cried so many times. I think the 13 sacrificing themselves plus Gavriel and Murtagh was enough death to be ok with no one else dying.

This series has always had a special place in my heart. Aelin has gone through SO MUCH and to see her pull through makes me SO happy! The Aelin & Chaol & Dorian goodbye was one of my biggest tear jerkers for me. LOVED your review!

Can I just say that my heart physically shattered after the scene when Aelin was rescued, and she started screaming about her iron restraints. And (I forget whose point of view) but the devastation described on Lorcans face was just so upsetting...I was about to cry. But the fact that our fire-breathing bitch Queen was ruined by Maeve and cairn just hurt. And I think that the scene where she faces off against erawan and Maeve was so much more heightened for me because I subconsciously kept looking back to that scene. Like that was a huge moment, to show us that even after all of that, she was not broken.

I have so many questions. I feel like the ending was a bit rushed. Like where did Nox go? Where was Petrah's Grandmother since Manon didn't kill her? The owl on Maeve's shoulder? What happened to Dorian's Mom and brother? Why wasn't there a little Sam scene at the end where Aelin remembers her time with him?😭 Also I wanted a bit more discussion and conversation between Aelin,Dorian & Chaol after the war because she did talk with everyone but this wasn't included.The good bye didn't makeup for it. I just need more of those 3❤️😭

Never too soon. First thought after calming down after finishing the book: I have to read it again. SPOILER ALERT: There IS one thing you forgot though AND IT ANNOYS ME THAT NO ONE ELSE HAS MENTIONED IT!!!!! WHERE. TF. DID. NOX. GO????????? All we know is that they sent him off to spread the message "Terrasen calls for aid" and HE NEVER GOT TO MEET THE REAL AELIN and I'm so sad about it :((((

I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHOSE HEART STILL BREAKS EVERY TIME I HEAR CHAOL/CELAENA. I shipped them soooo much, even though I ship Aelin and Rowan. HOW AM I SO SPLIT. AND YASSS LORCAN IS THE SASSIEST GRUMP IN ALL OF ERILEA. Him and Elide were EVERYTHING in this book. That damn dam scene... When he said he'd always be with her and that he loves her, I completely submitted and gave myself to the holy shrine that is Elorcan. Wish we got to see Aelin reunite with Not though! And I hope there's a novella - really want to see if Elide gets her ankle healed. I think that would be an amazing arc as her mangled ankle is so heavily entwined with her identity and it symbolises so much for her and Lorcan would be a cinnamon roll, holding her hand through the whole experience.

This was so good, I was a little miffed by what happened to Elena, but Dorian's reconciliation with his father was something I didnt even consider happening because I thought he would seal to word gate. Really good book, so many good parts

I loved some parts, i hated others. I didn't get some scenes like the world falling scenes...why the hell did Gavriel have to die so soon, why the hell was Aedion keeping that grudge on Lysandra forever and ever. I needed more Manon and Dorian scenes, more plots (really missed the roller coasters from Queen of Shadows), more reunions (Nox and Aelin's). The way Erawan died was a joke honestly and made the whole end war feel more focused on Maeve's encounter. Really liked the friendship Aelin and Fenrys had. I love your review and reactions, so funny :D

i just finished KOA the other day and watching this really helps me alleviate my intense feelings about the book. As much as lorcan's new name cracks me up, can we talk about how Fenrys' surname is Moonbeam? 🤭🤣

What if Dorian really did have Valg in him and it died when the rest of the Valg died at Erawan and Maeve’s death. So now when he asks if he’s human it of course would tell him that he is since now he’s all human. If he would have asked before the death of the Valg then it would have said he was a demon. Hhmmm... :D

wow I finished the book last night and I fucking cried when Aelin said goodbye to Chaol and Dorian - sh*t the OGS :( "I love you both".

I do not think that Dorian is Valg, but Fae. Remember the blood sacrifice Aelin had to make? Aelin is a descendant of Mala, who is Elena's mother. Elena is half-Fae. But Elena married Gavin, the first King of Adarlan. Which means Dorian is also a descendant of Mala through Elena. So Dorian may be half-Fae like Aelin. Which also means he could have made the same blood sacrifice.

I think SJM forgot to reunite Nox and Aelin.

Did you notice when Aelin is falling through the worlds, she also passes through a city that I think is supposed to be New York! It made me so happy!

I read it a bit later than it came out and I finished the book today and I’m barely functioning. I bawled my eyes out when the Thirteen died and when Rowan, Fenrys and Lorcan were saying their last goodbye to Gavriel. It was such an amazing way to end the series and I would give Sarah J Maas all my money if I ever had the honour of meeting her. PS THE WAY RHYS AND FEYRE WERE IN THE BOOK OMG

You pretty much said all the things that went through my mind when I read Hellas's book aka KoS! (that's what I'm going to call it from now on) It was so intense !! I just couldn't stop reading ! I was crying and laughing and freaking out the whole time ! I've never been this affected by a book before. There are some tiny things that were missing though like Nox Owen Aelin's reunion, or Aelin remembering Sam while she was tortured and when she was finally in Terassen. I Also really wanted to read more about Nehemia's family. I wanted them to be involved in this war somehow. And Aelin and Aedion's reunion wasn't as dramatic as I've expected. But overall this book was absolutely amazing! I'll definitely re-read it and the whole series with it 'cause it just can't be over! I won't accept it hahahahaha

I cried heavily at... Spoiler. The thirteen dying and Gavriels death but the only one I really didn't care about was.. Connell? Like we knew nothing about him and his death was just kinda chucked in there... I wasn't sad that he died but felt for Fenry. It seemed kinda just like poof.. He dead

before I forget: the circle of aelin´s scars being gone is part one of celaena being erased... aelin giving up her human form later on in order to come back home is part two. this whole series begins with deciding who you are, trying to find the real you, and then ends with visually being ripped away from your old self, then willingly shedding your past. this series is so damn good.

the day after i finished the last book, i came across this video on youtube. I was too emotionally drained to watch it, but in my mind i refused to believe that the throne of glass series would end before i saw this video. Today, 22 april 2019, i feel like i reached the bottom. Goodbye throne of glass series. You've been good to me...

I know it's been two solid years since the book and this video came out, but I finally read this conclusion and it was BRILLIANT! So well balanced and executed, like what?! no other series can compare. I am forever sjm trash. And yes we need a Manorian book and I wouldn't complain about a few novellas on the Thirteen 50 years prior to everything or even ten, so we can see them be even more badass.
