Kingdom One Touch Cassette Duplicator 

In the tape duplication scenario. Finding any nowadays has become a rarity. A few years back I collected a models, in various conditions. As having them, even if in need of small repairs is worth the search. As long as your comfy with your price of admission. #cassetteculture 👍🏾✌🏾

People in the cassette audiophile world always criticize hi speed dubbing but I never found it an issue. Now I use 3 Tascam 302 synced up and record straight from digital in real time which is way slower but I do get 5 tapes at the end of a run and all quality is the same as a master. But your copies sound very good. Very interesting video.

This kind of device was used when you just needed a few copies made in a short time; not mass production of cassettes for worldwide distribution. Things like churches making audio recordings of their services available to purchase.

Maybe you can get better results if you feed the master through line instead other cassette. Using a 192kHz sample rate capable sound card and a 4x pitched source.

Them were the days. Things worked as soon as they were powered up (no booting process)!

I have one of these that I’m getting ready to list but I’m curious about the rewind issue. I am also having a rewind issue but I don’t currently have enough tapes to fill it and actually completely copy tape onto four blanks. Mine looks to be in really good shape as well and I won’t be asking anywhere near $1700 for it

I'm in Europe and bought bulk tapes of the Kingdom brand more than a few times for releases off ebay. I didn't know that they also had their own tape duplicators manufactured! Question is if it's a custom build or a re-branded pre-existing one.

We always used high quality Revox Cassette decks, we never sold trash! Arcade/CNR, Thunderdome etc. is the 1985 k-220 any good?

Dolby settings? Bias settings? Tape formulation--matching between master and copies? (Looks like master is high bias here; copies normal bias.). Is this all done automatically? There are no switches.

Did you have to fast forward the start of side two on the master so it comes out right on the 60 minute dupes?

Great find! As it is not possible to record the master on the duplicator and neither is it possible to play back two of four tracks of the master at 1x on the duplicator, I wonder how to align the azimuth of the master recorder with the duplicator (or vice versa). Does anyone have an idea?

Hey cool! How is the quality of the duplicator compare to the original master cassette?

I found one of these on fb marketplace in 2016 or 17 for ..........$35 . But to be honest I did not know they went for so much . I was just wanting a reliable tape duplicator on the cheap . It is in mint shape but the sad thing is I've never gotten around to use it . It came from a local church . The pastor's daughter sold it to me and she and her friends met me outside their gym . They were in those workout clothes and they were all hot babes . I was nervous buying it HAHA

To the maker of this video, it sounds like you are using cheap duplication cassettes by the squeal noise that happens when you rewind your duplicated white cassettes. A good high quality type 1 cassette will not make squirrel noises like these cheap white ones do. Also, more than likely, the white cassettes you are duplicating on are type 1 ferric, not type II Chrome tape like your Maxell Master tape is. I would recommend spending the money for type II Chrome tapes when you delicate from a type II master tape, this way the reproduction cassette will sound as close as possible to your master. Cheap type 1 cassettes will produce hiss that is not on your master tape, making the duplicated tape not sound half as good. I realize that you are probably trying to keep your duplication costs down, but I would gladly pay the extra dollar or two for a type II duplicated cassette of your recordings. What I am saying of course, this is just a suggestion. I just want you to be able to produce and sell the best quality of your recordings that you can.
