Unbelivable! I sent out an squad in which the knight have only a sheld to attack the first portal on Day 10, but to find that the archers without buff were to weak to destroy it. Sadly the crown was snatched. Just watched your Day 22 video, never expected it could be even faster.
wow this was an insane run, I think it can be a little bit faster if you use your squires to melee the spawners in the left portal, but having that nearby clearing to the right to farm for rabbits and being able to set up a farm without having to destroy a vagrant camp might be the best spawns you can hope for. EDIT: additionaly some time can be saved by starting running as you put money into things (like the bomb), today I discovered that you can keep putting coins in something while you move, you just need to start standing still.
I'm not entirely sure how to cancel out the retaliation waves of the other portals, all I know is that when I was fast enough it would. There are also no more crown cards or summary card that appears after you get crowns or finish bombing the cliffside portals so I'm unsure if that's a bug. The flash from the cave explosion is at roughly 44:09 (43:53 on the timer) and I stopped the time at the cave explosion at 44:13 (43:57 on the timer).
Hey, great video! I've got a question, though. I noticed in the earlier videos (Such as the skull island speedrun) you had a super cursed crown on you, how did you get that and why did it disappear for you? I beat all of the singleplayer challenge islands with cursed crowns, but I only see a bronze crown when playing campaign/restarting challenges. Do you need to beat all multiplayer challenges as well, or do I need to do something afterwards to 'unlock' it? I fully beat dead lands and shogun campaign, but I didn't beat the classic style on the third save file, does that affect anything? Thanks!
@@sephiroththephoenix I'm not sure if the requirements have changed but I haven't been able to get the permanent cursed crown either, after beating the challenge modes again after the never alone update. It may require coop versions as well or could be a bug, not sure.
@@OneDragon Thanks for the response. Btw you have some impressive playthroughs and strategies! But i'm gonna guess that you do need all cursed crowns on both SP and MP islands. I'm currently working on solo'ing the coop islands to figure out the cursed crown, but I'm definitely struggling to find them out, like everyone else. They're much harder to find this time! So far I've gotten gold on skull island, and tried many different strategies for finding the cursed crown, to no luck. I wish I didn't watch this.. This just destroyed the entire game for me lol... I was thinking I was good breezing through cursed difficulty like its nothing. Now I know I could destroy an entire island in nothing flat lol.
I was wondering why you were wasting money even fortifying the wall instead of pushing. AND thats why... Just build a bomb, don't need to launch an attack. Group follows you and can destroy every damn portal at once. meanwhile the fortified wall is for counterattacks since you're pushing an entire side down at once... Hmm.... makes sense
