Kingdoms Of The Night at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium.
This video was filmed over two visits during Omaha Zoo's Late Nights At The Zoo Event. Some of the areas had the night cycle reversed so I was able to capture a few animals in a few of the habitats.
Species list for the Kingdoms Of The Night includes:
Greater Bushbaby
Springhaas
Amazon Milky Tree Frog
Green Tree Python
Emerald Tree Boa
Bushy-Tailed Jird
Mexican Leaf Frog
Schneider's Dwarf Caiman
Aardvark
Fruit Bats
Mexican Blind Cavefish
Banded Knob-Tailed Gecko
Vampire Bat
American Toad
Alligator Snapping Turtle
American Crocodile
Hope you enjoy this short video!
Brad

Thanks everyone for joining me on this short highlighted tour. In this video we will meet some of the animals that call the Kingdoms of the Night home. It is not a full walk through at the time of recording (early summer 2019) even with the lights on some areas were very dark. Hope everyone had a great Holiday! If you are new to the channel here's another video to get you started ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4n7rGHpAvLU.html

I agree, some of those areas are very difficult to see normally.

I remember going through this exhibit and it was so dark I almost trampled over a little kid

Usually its very dark in there, very hard to see. I filmed this at night when they turned the lights on for the day cycle. Except for the swamp which was still dark

Interesting. Where was that croc at? I remember there were crocs in the Australia section of the Kingdoms of the night but never able to be seen at the angle like in 2:30 other than in the Lied Jungle. If you remember of course. I was from Omaha originally and liked the zoo. It wasn't too fun paying lie 20+ per person to visit, so I didnt go there all that much. Part of the beauty of your channel. All the goodness at none of the cost xD

The first croc tank was in the room with the wallaby and echidna (right before the bat area if i remember correctly). The last crocodile on exhibit the American croc is the last exhibit in the building.

Still wondering if if would be possible to film this with the lights off without any special equipment

Maybe early or late in the zoos operating hours, first thing in the morning might still have some light. Not sure when the light cycle switches on a normal day. I was able to film this at the after hours event around 8 to midnight and even then the swamp walk was still dark.it was my phone that worked best there. I can put all my clips into a Google file for you if need some when you get back from your visit.

Late Nights at the zoo event, basically a craft beer & food festival for 21 and over

the desert dome and lied jungle are dark and the kingdoms of the night is having its day cycle. Its a neat way of seeing them in a different day/night cycle.
