This is so special and wonderful! I live by a pond and see and hear the Kingfishers everyday, but have never seen their nest. I will look harder after seeing this sweet little film. So interesting how the father repeatedly entices the kids to come out of the safety of the nest. Hunger wins out.
Thank you for this lovely, amazing video Mr. Fuller. Such vibrant, beautiful birds. Dad did such a good job enticing them all to fledge. Prayers they all do well. ❤️🙏
How precious! We see kingfishers occasionally near the river in the UK (if we're lucky) but I had no idea of their lives and behaviours. Nature is a lot more smart than we've given it credit for! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing! I never saw a Kingfisher before, they are gorgeous. I would be the last bird to leave, thinking I'll learn to fly tomorrow! Then lure me out with ice cream. Beautiful filming.
this film is a brilliant achievement. I can only wonder at the effort needed to capture all of the footage including building the artificial nest-amazing!
It’s been 7 years since I first got kingfishers to nest in this habitat I made I have spent 7 months this year and last year filming them some days spending upto 19 hours in the hide but every moment was worth the results, I will never take them for granted and always get that little rush of excitement when I see them 😊 Next year I will be ready to tell there full story
Do you write a journal article about this behavior? I think you should... what an amazing behavior... I didn't know how the birds lure their chicks to fledge until I watch this video
Robert, I am always blown away by your work and contributions! The videography, the editing, the narration and your love and passion of knowledge and science. You inspire me! ❤
Excellent video, Robert. These absolutely beautiful birds are charming to watch. It was a pleasure seeing them fledge. Thank you for sharing this experience with us.
So fantastically cute how dad encourages his brood to come out and play. Love it. Such an amazing moment caught on film…for viewers. Thank you so much.
Oh thanks It’s been a long journey to get to this stage I built the artificial bank for them in 2017 and have been adding and altering it since but it’s all come together this year with so many different camera angles to tell there story, which will be coming in full in 2024 😃
This is so beautiful! Thanks to the well-thought design of this nest equipped with cameras, which was all of Mr. Fuller's fantastic idea and work, the wonderful aspect of kingfisher's life, otherwise totally hidden from human eyes, can be shared!
That' s just excellent. I love wildlife more than everything else, the real life is here i guess. Human being is just a species apart, as incredible as it is unpredictable :)
