I swear it’s not just nostalgia but these 90’s comedies were the best, this, Tommy boy, midnight run, etc. it’s because they were funny but they also had heart. This scene when she says your dad would be proud and he just looks at her and says “no, no he wouldn’t be proud” Hits hard, because it’s true. His dad wouldn’t have been proud, he’d probably have been disgusted, and I love that they don’t sugarcoat it, it makes his redemption in the end more meaningful. Absolutely love this movie
One of the things i loved about this film was the message at the end. You don't get any real revenge on terrible people like Big Ern by making their lives worse, rather you reach a victory by making your own life better.
@1:11 to @1:15 is just exceptionally well acted. How he responds to her telling him he looks "sharp." It's odd for this kind of movie, but for me that one little response he gives just packs a real punch.
I know I'm most likely in the minority here, but in terms of Farrelly comedies, I've always liked this movie more than Dumb and Dumber. They're both great comedies but Kingpin had the better emotional moments and LOL moments than D&D.
I’ve been failing for the last few years - gaining weight, becoming reclusive etc etc. It would never happen if my dad was here. Because he’d intervene and say something. That’s what I really miss - a role model. Someone to keep me on the right track. Because, to be honest, I find everyone one else will just allow you to keep drifting. To keep failing. Even mothers aren’t very good at telling their kids hard truths.
Munson here... I had everything in Argentina. I came to Europe with many dreams...20 years ago... and they only stayed at that. Today I am almost 45 and I no longer have much desire for anything. It's hard to get up and try again... very hard. Pd: dont cry for me i already dead... B
It’s funny it’s like time stopped for me when I left this town His dad also never could figure out how the get the watch working In the end Claudia wound it lmfao 😂 That was always too funny to me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣it really killed the emotion of this scene when he’s opening up about the meaning of the watch lmfao 🤣
