The whole song gets me, but “I’ll never be whole again until I get clean”, as a depressed addict, that just hit hard. That verse really got me hard

Argued with my husband, no big deal, but I was upset and went for a drive to clear my head and cry without having to explain. I came back to this notification. Sometimes life is perfectly imperfect.

What I love about this band is the ambiguity, mystery, and surprises that they have done. My true love and the solidification of the Kings being my favorite modern band has been rooted in the fore mentioned. I’ll always remember the night I discovered Talihina Sky. I had been listing to them one night in my car, and I was finishing Youth and Young Manhood. Holy Roller Novocaine had ended and I was just sitting there for about 4 minutes, lost in my thoughts with the issues of my life at that time, then all of a sudden, loud as hell, Talihina Sky started blasting at the 8:00 mark of the track. I had never known that track ran for a total time of 12:30 or something, and when I heard the song the first time ever, it was a feeling like no other. That songs lyrics spoke my soul and I had the song on repeat for weeks. I had finally gotten to see the band perform Talihina Sky at the Hollywood Bowl in 2017 and I can honestly say I got to scratch off a bucket list item. Now with this song I have a new bucket list item. To see this song performed live. Long live the Kings 👑

Work in a front line emergency service in ireland, not a doc or a nurse those guys are the heroes. But nonetheless work can be pretty manic with what goes on. This song has proved a nice little bit of respite for me over the last few days. Had a ticket to see them perform in dublin july 1st. Lookin like that wont materialise but im sure ill see them further down the road
