The s22 sucks as a commuter wheel, the 340 kg spring is way way too stiff... At 80 kg, I cannot move the suspension easily... It cannot pot holes or tree roots...

That's what I commented on Hsiang channel on S20...he didn't dial suspension soft enough even for his weight

No time to adjust? It has 2 knobs you can twist in seconds. Rebound and compression stiffness adjusted in seconds. So if you are light and the the suspension feels to stiff on a bump, simply give the compression a few clicks less.

You trolly the S18 backwards as well, no problem. Weak plastic bits to be replaced (front bumper, chevron, stand). Weak soft fixing screws to be fixed as well (there is problems taking it apart). Seat to be stiffened, particularly at the back. No doubt, they have had some feedback on a few other niggles as well.

Hy Ronin! Regarding the suspension, from all the videos I've seen of this NYC demo unit, it looks essentially locked - including in in Hsiang's review. I'm surprised nobody tried to adjust it quickly to actually experience the suspension.

@@Ronin_Ryder Oh finally someone managed to compress its suspension at 9:18 😁 I guess that with the stock seat you need to transition to squatting every time you wan to brake!

LOL telling you, the "torque" riders keep clamoring for is not actually torque they want, they mis-speak this, as all wheels these days have enough torque on flats. The "torque" they say is really sensitivity curve of the mode, esp if it's just hard mode tug style. And FYI, if the mfr is telling you "the production wheel will have better XXX", this is always a white lie; nothing ever changes dramatically when the wheel is almost ready to launch, as at this stage, they already ordered all the mass parts for the production line, things cannot change 180 like that this quickly.

I wish I were able to attend the demo. The stock tire looks pretty good as an all-rounder, but if I got this I would get a really good street tire. (90%+ road use) One thing I like most about EUC riding is carving. The way I like to carve is with both of my legs pretty much in constant contact with the top of the wheel. And as I carve the wheel the angles are pretty pronounced, maybe 35 degrees in a deep carve. But I noticed in this video when people were trying to carve, the wheel was trying to stay upright and their leading leg into the turn would come off the wheel quite a bit. Nothing wrong with that type of riding, Z10 riders would ride the wheel in a similar way. But what do you think about the s20 and its potential for deeply angled carving? I've heard the included knobby doesn't seem to be carving friendly. Do you think a decent dedicated street tire might result in a wheel with better carving characteristics? Anyway awesome video overall and thanks for getting this out so quickly.

Carving is great with this wheel . U can see at the end of the video im carving fine with an angle (maybe not as deep as you do). The guys carving with wheel staying upright was because it was just their technique/style . Thank you for your feedback!

My understanding for the suspension was that there was two settings. One setting for stiff and one setting for soft. It looked as though it was just a matter of simply switching it from one setting to the next with a flip of a switch in the back. Is this not correct?

Not sure, there were a lot of people waiting to test the demo, there was no time to check any settings. Im sure these can be adjusted.
