I guess the population there is just over 25,000 people but then you throw in the surrounding communities with zero retail stores, the college students, the county seat traffic, and the Naval air station and it's a pretty good population. Very cool place
I went to high school in Kingsville. I've been to Harrell's a million times it seems. My childhood best friend owns a flower shop in town, and another friend of mine graduated from TAMUK 11 years ago. Your videos always make me homesick.
Hi Dennis, Adrian from Scranton Pa here. I don't know why your videos aren't getting thousands of views. You have an easy way about you and the videos are well made. I love those small towns out west. Some seem to still be in the 1950's with old signage and not a franchise in sight. Don't change anything.
Hello Adrian. Thank you very much for the kind words. I'm originally from Delaware County just outside of Philadelphia. Scranton PA! Home of the world famous Dunder Mifflin! I occasionally get a video that takes off. I'll just try to improve them and make things more interesting. I can look at every video I did and find many things I could've done better. I really appreciate your supportive remarks and kind words
Now , that is a nice store.. Will like to remember to visit that one.. If i remember, at some time. thanks for the showing.. Pass thru that town at time.. Never have stopped.
Good evening. Seems like a lot of meat stores and cool things to look at in Kingsville! I'll get back there soon enough. Hope you're having yourself a wonderful evening
Thank you so much for posting this! My brother was born in Kingsville and I haven't seen the city since I was six years old. Love going down memory lane
Good evening my friend! I'm glad I finally included you. I have no idea anymore who I have mentioned and haven't mentioned but it would be nice to get to everybody. Hope you're having yourself a great evening
Good morning my friend. I woke up this morning to 63° and sunny. I think the high today is around 77° complaints here! I hope you are well and having a great day!
Thank you very much sir. I appreciate your kind remarks and the fact that you take the time to watch the videos. I know you're busy with your own channel yet you make time for others
Hey Tony! I really like Kingsville. Larger than the little towns that I usually enjoy but it had a lot of well-maintained areas and definitely things to say. I will have to go back again sometime soon. I hope you're having a good day buddy. Anything planned?
You got a lot further into the city of Kingsville than I ever did, and I lived in the Corpus area for 20 years of my misspent youth. I just drove by on my way to the RGV, never realizing the interesting history. Drugstore soda fountains. How long has it been? Make me feel OLD Dennis. Have a most excellent day friend.
Good morning Tom! There still a lot to see in Kingsville. I might go back in a few weeks. I need to do my online research because I'm more into the weird stuff myself. Worlds largest rattlesnake? Dead man's hole? That kind of thing but I do like to see the new interesting things as well
Good evening Leah. I actually find that stuff interesting. It was a neat little museum and it even had a place where I could go bucket stuff and then sit down! My kind of place!
Nice tour, Dennis, thanks for taking us to the train depot! 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃 Looks like a great Main Street there with plenty of businesses still doing well. Roy's Hobbies caught my eye. I remember those old-time downtown hobby shops from when I was very young, but I haven't been in one in years. It would've been neat to eat at that lunch counter too, but yeah, 'rona is a real bummer. Hope when it's over and you get back there you get to try it out. It reminds me of Woolworths which was still around when I was young too, and also Sines 5&10 in Quakertown, PA which I believe is still in business. I enjoyed this and yesterday's Kingsville videos very much as it made me feel like I was able to get out of the house for a while. Can you tell I'm starting to go stir crazy with our winter here?! Lol! Safe travels my friend, and I always look forward to where you take us next!
Good morning Jamie. I did notice that hobby store. At that point I had already walked around three places. My right knee said you had your fun for the day now go sit down. 😂 I will definitely go back to Kingsville and sleeping overnight by the bay bear was pretty awesome. Kingsville also has an official visitor center where I'm sure I can get a ton load of brochures. The train depot had some as well. Great History in that area. I actually found something this morning that caught my eye that is about an hour away so I might go there tomorrow
Hey Jamie. Thank you. I'm trying to take a few road trips a week. I also don't mind just sitting around the beach all day getting caught up on bills, errands and reading Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da
It says the median annual wage for wind turbine technicians was $52,910 in 2019. Range is $39,820 to $80,150. To me I think that is a little low working on those high things.
I highly recommend the Ranch tour. The house that Richard king lived in and the cowboys he brought from Mexico. (Kincineros) I think. The Klebergs are sensitive about any stranger stepping on Ranch property. A guy from Norway stepped off the bus to take a picture of a curracura and they got very angry!
Engineers never get hit by lightning. They're not conductors. Why are some trains crazy? It's the Loco- motion. Why are engineers so stubborn? It's their one track mind. What railheads loves classical music? Conductors. Had to add a few brother...
