[KiniNews] Consortium Zenith Construction Sdn Bhd (CZC) senior executive director Zarul Ahmad Mohd Zulkifli today testified that he bought former Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng a watch worth RM43,000 as a 55th birthday present in December 2015.
The 23rd prosecution witness said he brought the Maurice Lacroix watch along with RM100,000 cash in an envelope to Lim's office on the 28th floor of the Komtar building in George Town, Penang.
Meanwhile, businessperson G Gnanaraja was identified as a "middleman" for allegedly delivering bribes to Lim based on his supposed closeness with former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak.
After a series of self-deliveries from 2013 to 2016, Zarul said Lim instructed him to use a middleman for future payments in case of monitoring by the MACC, and so he recommended Gnanaraja.

if this is true then make sure the person giving the bribe also get punishment and go to prison like normal citizens would. and even if he didn't give bribe make sure he also goes to prison for making false testimonies like normal citizens would be treated. if it's really true then give him reduced sentence, but still send him to prison. otherwise the rakyat will lose faith in the legal system. not like they weren't already though....

Zarul must be high on drugs when he uttered he gave LGE a watch valued at 43K and rejected rm100K. Gila pakai watch mahal is very common among UMNO official and rejecting rm100K is very UNCOMMON among UMNO official. They will grab it pakai cermin mata gelap.

Funny that when Ultra Kirana testifies against UMNO politicians, everyone practises mob justice and declare the politicians guilty as charged. But when Zenith Consortium testifies against a DAP politician, suddenly everyone turns off their brain and accuses the witness of fabricating lies. Funny that when Teoh Beng Hock fell from the MACC building, it was sure as hell in everyone's mind that it was a murder conspiracy despite the contrary evidence. But when a key prosecution witness, the chairman of a listed company fell from a building in the middle of LGE's case, no one bats an eye lid. Funny that when a corruption case involves a Chinese businessman paying bribes to a Malay politician, the Malay politician is condemned in the strongest terms. But when it is a Malay businessman bribing a Chinese politician, the Malay businessman suddenly is a crook and a damned fool.

Not sure yet Najib will be jailed. He may be found not guilty by the FC judges, what if BN win the PRU 15, his 'brother' may be appointed AG and he can also be pardoned. Don't rejoice too early, Malaysia Boleh.

Everyone can make story. I can say many things but you have to proof it. And LGE is not dumb to use Najibs connections. Those testimonies are really children story. If got proof bring it out else stop making false story.

There must be some truth in the allegation as the witness will expose himself to perjury if he lied which is an offence punishable by imprisonment. Let the accused defend when the Defence is called

Most politicians preferred cash versus other payment methods because thinking that the court will be difficult to get printed evidences when the bribe givers reported to MACC. That was wrong, if the prosecution witness telling the truth in court and judge will decide. Denial in media is not solution and just to get support from voters.
