Kinki Studio EXM1 Upgrade with Sparkos Labs Discrete OP-Amps and Nick Cave

Hallo, hier päsentiere ich euch das Upgrade mit Sparkos Labs OP-Amps. Es werden keine Adapter benötigt. Leider war am Anfang der Einfluss des W-Lan Routers und der Beleuchtung sehr stark, aber schön, dann kann man das auch mal zeigen. Im Original natürlich deutlich leichter zu hören, das Samsung Mikrofon ist da schon an der Leistungsgrenze...je weiter man die Bremsen aus der Standardtechnik rausnimmt, um so mehr geht es in Richtung Musik!

I tried the Sparkos 3601-3602 pair and then the Staccato OSHS - OSH-DHb pair on an amp that consists of 4 single AOPs and a Double Kinki Studio EX-M1+. Well, the top is this SS2590, it's incredible of dynamics, precision, the timbres are perfectly right, it's very balanced, I really don't see how it could be better. And it's instantaneous, no need to wait for hours of "breaking in" to give my opinion, the previous models are totally buried. My preference was for the 3601-3602, as the Staccato was a bit too bright, with a bit of a hollow bass. Beware, it's not easy to install, the cards are much bigger, the pinout different, knowledge and soldering iron and meticulousness required. 😉

Hi, yes, the better the RU-vid listening system, the bigger the difference. But in the real listening room there is the magic, almost only the Sparkos can do that. See comments from the other Sparkos video of me

@@uhugvjkbkjh Hi, that's exactly the advantage of the Sparkos, extremely black background, therefore more details, but always musical and never analytical. But only after 300 hours of burn in ... Best Mike

Hello, I offer the complete set of Sparkos for sale. In order to get it right, all OPA should be exchanged, everything else is only half stuff, just a change, but no improvement,because the OP sound is preserved. then leave it as it is. It is not a fully symmetrical setup, you need 1x double and 4 x single OPs. maybe also adapters depending on the version. See my website. Regards Mike

I was told by a Sparkos rep that only the single op amps need to be changed on the EX-M1+ as the dual op amp is used for DC servo, and is not part of the audio path. Can you advise?

Do you know of anyone doing this with Kinkis ex b7 monoblocks? I was told they have Kinki Amplifiers are high voltage rail, high gain, high bandwidth & that they are extremely sensitive to the quality of the power supply...which can cause humming issues. Wondering if changing the op amp would not only improve the sound of the b7s but may also help with the humming.

Thank you for a great video, I just bought a Kinki EXM1 myself a few month ago. So I vill try to make the same upgrade as you did in this video, and I vill go ahead and buy a kit from you. One more thing, what model of Heco speaker are you using in this video. Thanks and hello from Sweden.

Hi Rolf, i wrote an email. Thes are The New Statement, but strong midificated by me. In the original they are just too slow in the bass and very unemotional. These are my last speakers in the 5.1 system before I built my Open Baffle speakers. Before that I already had: ATC SCM 100A, Magnepan 3.3 R etc. and small Hecos modified by a guru :). If you only change the dual op amp, is there enough difference to justify? That 4 single op amp swapping is a lot to pay .

Schönes Video. Leider ist der Klangunterschied über Video schlecht zu beurteilen. Ich glaube aber das ihr eine Menge Spaß hattet. Wie gehts mit der Aktivierung der Open Baffle voran?

Hallo ja, YT klaut einiges vom wirklich großen Unterschied, aber man hört es deutlich wie ich finde! Original klingt es nach Chip-OP..klein und wenig emotional, mit den Sparkos ist es wirklich groß und musikalisch Wahnsinn und vollig unlimitiert! Aber nach 300 Stunden passiert noch einiges... Mein Intermezzo mit der Aktivierung ist zu Ende, ich werde bald ein Statement-Video veröffentlichen....Grüße Mike

Hi, for me sparkos are much better, because they are faster with blacker background, so with more details and more musical.. They need huge burn in time... cheers Mike

@@headquarteraudio5388 oh, was für Komponenten wurden getauscht? Ich habe auch welche, wo der Hochton sehr hell und spitz ist bei lauter Musik. LG

@@sabrer1 Bei diesen wurde an der Weiche nichts geändert, HECO verwendet recht gute Komponenten. Hier wurde nur die Verdrahtung wie bei der Lintons angebracht und die Klebefilze um die Kabel entfernt ( eine Sauerei ) :) und natürlich die Chassis wie im Video gezeigt verspannungsfrei montiert. @@headquarteraudio5388 ich weiß grade nicht, was für Klebefilze gemeint sind :D oder was das ist. Und das hat so viel gebracht? Kann ich mir gar nicht vorstellen :) Das muss ich dann auch mal ausprobieren, wie viel NM müssen die Schrauben bekommen? Schöne Grüße

@@sabrer1 Hi, um die Kabel herumgewickelt...Innenverkabelung, dann alle Verbindungen direkt löten. Ich kenne es schon, die meisten können sich die Wichtigkeit der mechanischen Sachen nicht vorstellen, aber danach können sie sich nicht vorstellen, warum man es nicht gleicht gemacht hat...Bass 1,5 HT 0,9 und immer kreuzweise anziehen Cheers Mike
