I am a big fan of Ireland culture and history. Grace O’Malley story should be told by everybody around the world. She was a hero to her clan and inspired by women around the world that you can do incredible things and you can achieve your goals.

I'm not sure if I am a descendant of hers ,but my mom's name is Patricia Lynn O'Malley. In my heart I don't think the ancient O'Malley's where actually pirates. They had castles ,and a large fleet of ships. I wonder if the pirate tag is more of a historical demonisation of a old Gaelic kingdom?

Just purchased the book. The Biography of Grace O'Malley Irelands Pirate Queen. By Anne Chambers. Amazon... Her Grandfather was the King of Ireland.

No lad it's Spanish they're speaking Irish/Gaeilge is slightly similar you won't find y,w,v and many other letters in our alphabet although "bh" sounds "v" you should look up a few videos on RU-vid although if you're looking to learn from scratch an app called Duolingo I believe it's called would be a good start.

Grainne Mhaol....Grace O'Malley was her name in English. I won't lie being irish I find it so annoying when the wrong names are used simple because the English wanted to change us, but nice song.
