He did not love one woman his entire life. What drivel. He had multiple affairs, often with married women, often with more than one woman at a time. He was 30 and he didn't want to get married. She was also only twenty years old, a young age for any bride, let alone a future modern day Queen. What people seem to forget is, even had she not died, she still wouldn’t be Queen. My understanding is that Parker-Bowles was the goods back then, and Camilla was far too common to be in the running. Doesn't anyone remember how being a virgin was tres important?
