Kiosk Campground is a small campground in the Northwest corner of Algonquin Provincial Park, far from the busier campgrounds along Highway 60. There are no showers or electricity, but it has a lovely beach and fantastic paddling opportunities! Kiosk is also a great spot to access the backcountry.
Check out our backcountry canoe trip from the Kiosk access point here:

Kioshkokwi Lake is located on the traditional land of the Anishinabewaki Nation (Native-Land.ca). We are thankful for their stewardship of the land and for the opportunity to experience this beautiful place.

We only stayed 2 nights in advance of our backcountry trip, plus one night on a Kiosk backcountry site. It's such a great area!

Cool. One of these days I'll get down to Algonquin Park. But for now, I have lots more exploring to do in my own backyard of Temagami area.

Temagami is an incredible region to explore! We hope to bring the kids there sometime soon!

@@CampingAcrossOntario yes, a lot of people start off with kids in Algonquin cause it's a little more tame and well used. Portages around Temagami tend to be less traveled and very rugged. But for me, that's one of the main reasons I love it so much. Less people, more wild and rugged. But since covid it has gotten more traffic which is good for portages but bad for garbage. Oh well, all we can do is try and educate people of proper etiquette and hope things improve.

@@darrendavidsonoutdoors Temagami portages are definitely on a whole different level lol! I'm concerned about the garbage and potential for problem bears... hopefully things improve.
